Alonso Diaz De Mirajo

Alonso Diaz De Mirajo is a fan-made special character for the Estalia army created by the Warhammer Army Project in their fandex for this unexplored part of the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world.

Born a humble fisherman's son, Alonso may have been just another nobody if it wasn't for one thing: he had a quixotic wanderlust, which prompted him to join the military at a young age, and he is a prodigy in the art of the blade. These traits have made him not only one of the country's most famous diestros, but also allowed him to achieve the lofty role of captain of Magritta's city rodeleros. His men absolutely adore him, and he has their total loyalty, for despite his patriotism, the first concern on his mind is and always will be the safety of those under is command.

On the tabletop, Alonso de Mirajo is a Diestro special character who uses up a Hero slot and costs 125 points. He has the following stats: Movement 4, Weapon Skill 6, Ballistic Skill 5, Strength 4, Toughness 4, Wounds 2, Initiative 6, Attacks 3, and Leadership 8.

He has the following special rules:

• Tactical Supremacy: Roll 3d6 when taking test to Rally, March, Reform, or Redirect Charge, and discard the highest.
• Face Me, You Coward! Alonso must always issue and accept Challenges.
• 'Duelling Techniques: In each round of close combat, Alonso may use one of these techniques and gain the appropriate benefit. He can't use the same technique on two consecutive rounds. The techniques are Rapido (Always Strikes First), Defensa (Parry 4+), Perforacion (Killing Blow)
• Beloved Captain: A unit joined by Alonso may re-rolled failed Psychology tests.

He wields a pistol, wears light armor, and carries the Sword of the Duellist, a magic weapon that lets him punish an enemy who attacks him in close combat by making a free attack against them for each of their attacks that misses.
