Borgut Facebeater
![]() |

Borgut Facebeater is an Orcs & Goblins special character in Warhammer Fantasy 6th edition, released as part of the Storm of Chaos event. Personal banner-waver to Grimgor Ironhide, and packing a headbutt that can kill an ogre, Borgut is surprisingly loyal, as orcs go, but still planning on surpassing his master some day. He's the only special character other than Grimgor who can be taken in the Grimgor's 'Ardboyz variant army, but can be taken independent of his boss in a regular Orc 'n' Gobbo army, presumably acting as the mouthpiece of his master.
In terms of backstory, we don't know much about this git; he supposedly "grew up" in Grimgor's horde, and was part of Grimgor's final campaign against the Skaven of Clan Moulder; it was in the final days of that lengthy battle that Grimgor heard the stories of a particularly fighty boy in his horde, so he wandered down to the front line to take a look. There, he found Borgut hewing through clanrats and pulping the skulls of Rat Ogres with bone-crushing headbutts, thoroughly enjoying every single moment of it. Grimgor was so impressed by Borgut's spunk that he took him under his wing and made him his new banner-bearer.
Mechanics[edit | edit source]
Borgut has Movement 4, Weapon Skill 5, Ballistic Skill 3, Strength 5, Toughness 5, Wounds 2, Initiative 3, Attacks 3 and Leadership 9.
He carries 'Ardlad's Axe o' Doom (Magic Weapon, +1 Strength, Borgut alone always counts as being under the effects of Gork'll Fix It), a back-up Choppa (+1 Attack), and Drog's Dead 'Ard Armor (Magic Armor, 1+ Armor Save that can't be improved).
He has the following special rules: Ignore Greenskin Panic & Quell Animosity - As standard Black Orc Warboss.
2nd Only To Grimgor: Borgut uses up 2 Hero Choices, and he must be your Army General if taken in an army that isn't also fielding Grimgor Ironhide.
The Facebeater: When fighting in a Challenge, at the beginning of the first Combat Phase, Borgut will headbutt his opponent or a monstrous mount that they are riding (player's choice of which); this is a Bonus Attack that is resolved first and hits at Strength 7. If this bonus attack wounds the target, they are Weapon Skill 1 and Always Strike Last for the rest of the Close Combat phase. If this kills the target, Borgut will still make the rest of his attacks against them, which are used to calculate overkill for combat resolution.
'Keep Your Enemies Closer: If Borgut and Grimgor are fielded in the same battle, Borgut must be setup within 12" of Grimgor.
Do As I Say And Wot I Do: If Borgut is deployed as part of a unit of Orcs at the start of the battle, he must stay with that unit for the entirety of the battle, but that unit is promoted to a unit of Big 'Uns for free and without using up your allotment of Big 'Uns.
