Errantry War
A Bretonnian Errantry War is a variant army for Warhammer Fantasy 6th edition. Though released as part of the Storm of Chaos event, Bretonnia has declared other Errantry Wars in the past, and so this army is valid in normal games of Warhammer 6e if you can get your opponent to agree.
Army List[edit | edit source]
- Lords: Bretonnian Lord
- Heroes: Damsels, Paladins
- Core Units: 1+ Knights Errant, Knights of the Realm, Men-at-Arms, Peasant Bowmen
- Special Units: Questing Knights, Mounted Yeomen, 0-1 Pegasus Knights
- Rare Units: 0-1 Trebuchet, Battle Pilgrims
Special Rules[edit | edit source]
Errantry War: Only Knights Errant count as taking up Core Unit slots in an Errantry War army. Also, a unit of Knights Errant may take a Grail Knight instead of the normal Champion for +22 points.
Errantry Fervour: All Knights Errant units must take a Battle Standard Bearer, and all of them receive the Errantry Banner for free, which means they cannot take any other magical banner.
Glory or Death! In an Errantry War list, Knights Errant suffer the following penalties to their Impetuous tests, which are cumulative both with each other and with the -2 penalty for carrying the Errantry Banner:
- -1 if there is one or more Fear-causing enemies within Charge range.
- -1 if there is one or more Terror-causing enemies within Charge range.
- -1 if there is one or more Dragons (including Undead Dragons) within Charge range.
- -1 if there is one or more Damsels within 6".
- -1 if there is one or more enemy units within Charge range that has a higher Unit Strength than this Knights Errant unit.
Additionally, in an Errantry War list, Knights Errant must always pursue. They roll one extra D6 and chose the three highest results when in pursuit.
