Legion of the Fanned
The Legion of the Fanned are a Loyalist space marine Chapter of Unknown founding and Origin. They are also great warriors, skilled in the art of the fan. Some Inquisitors believe they are a subsection of the Legion of the Damned.They are also known for making horrible, horrible puns.
Equipment[edit | edit source]
The Fanned use a uniquely modified pattern of armour known only as Mark F, which replaces the typical Mark VII's pauldrons with giant fans. This allows them to cool themselves with a gentle breeze, or even provide their enemies with a nice, relaxing gust of wind as they get their guts ripped out.
They also have access to Power Fans, a much more powerful version of the regular fan which is often used on their assault units.
Instead of using jet engines on their thunderhawks like most chapters, they use turboprops, for more fan power.
Finally, they have fangirls/boys, chapter serfs that carry along extra fans to ensure proper cooling at all time.
Known Encounters[edit | edit source]
One of the most well known deployments the Fanned ever did was actually on a star, to obliterate an ork fort that had taken close orbit to it. They used their power fans to fly up to the fort and blew it into the sun. The battle was named 'The Battle of wait, there's no air in space...'
Origins[edit | edit source]
The Legion of the Fanned came to being one fateful night when a member of the Verghast IV discord got his Legion of the Damned sentence autocorrected into Legion of the Fanned. Hijinks ensued.
