Northeast

Northeast is a short narrative game of love, memories and sacrifices where a princess tries to reunite with her knight, lost in the battlefield, still fighting beyond her reach on top of a mountain made of corpses and suffering, and bring him back home, to the Northeast. The princess will need all her Heart to find the ladders that will bring her closer to the knight, strengthening her resolve by remembering all the good times both lovers spent together. But the princess tends to omit the rest of the story, and the mountain is always ready to refresh her memory and reopen some Wounds.
Will the princess reach her knight on top of the mountain or will she forfeit her love once she's forced to face the truths of their relationship? That's a story only you can tell.

The rules[edit | edit source]
Northeast is a game for two players, where one takes the role of the princess and the other one takes the role of the mountain. Together, as the princess climbs the ladders, the players will weave a story of love, hope and pain till its bittersweet end. The game uses two traits, Heart and Wounds, and the obstacles and conflicts are solved by tossing as many coins as the Heart trait of the princess. Unless she loses all her Heart, she'll keep climbing the mountain, either by receiving Wounds or by remembering what she's fighting for.
But don't pay much attention to the rules because we're not even sure the game is playable.
Northeasth also includes rules for using some of its mechanics in other much better games that most players will surely enjoy, such as Dungeons & Dragons, World of Darkness or Dark Heresy.
