Once you know where do you come from, it's time to think about what were you doing before. Before is the keyword here - no matter what you were doing before you joined crew of the "Second Chance", once it happened, you've left your old life behind. But that doesn't mean all these years gave you nothing - you've learnt quite some things there (and as such you gain 5 points worth of Skills) and selection of Quirks to choose from.

Arch-Militant[edit]

Military leader and commander, Arch-Militant is not a pushover by any means - however, his main strength lies in his ability to successfully command others in combat. Usually veteran Guard officers, some of them were previously Crusaders of Ecclesiarchy, or lead tech-legions of Cult Mechanicus, or even were responsible for private armies of noble families or Rogue Trader Dynasties, they all have one thing in common - while deadly in combat on their own, they become lethal whenever they have a troop of soldiers to command.

Archivist[edit]

Knowledge is power, and there are these who realize this. Old archives and libraries hide priceless treasures, from ancient maps disclosing planets that haven't paid Tithe in several centuries, to hundred-years old edicts, that are still in effect, to forgotten STCs, to genealogic records showing a new potential heirs with claim to the Governor's throne, and beyond. Most commonly coming from Administratum, Mechanicus or Ecclesiarchy, with some of them previously laboring as personal archivists of nobles, they all are true masters of finding, and putting to good use, ancient secrets.

Callidus Temple Assassin[edit]

Not a long time ago, the very existance of Assassinorum Temples was a closely guarded secret. While number of people aware of them is slowly increasing, not much of them ever leaves the Temple alive - but some are assigned long-term missions. While most of them are socially impaired to the point of being unable to function in any sort of society, recently Officio Assassinorum started training agents capable of operating on their own in any environment for extended periods of time, to assist the Reconquista.
Callidus Temple trains infiltration specialists, using polymorphine drug to assume shape of any given human. More than capable hand-to-hand combatants, their main strength is their ability to seamlessly meld into any given group and disappear in a crowd.

All Cullexus Assassins are Blanks - humans possessing extremely rare Pariah gene, which renders their presence in Immaterium highly inconistend on the flow of pychic energy, basically turning them into anti-psykers. Which then of course is only turned up to eleven by their training and equipment.

Diplomat[edit]

While for ten millenia diplomacy meant relationships between different human worlds or systems, with little to no attention paid to any outside fractions - with the sole exception of few human-settled worlds here and there, that were deemed worth of "convincing" to rejoin Imperium, rather than just being reconquered. However, with recent reshuffles on the political stage of the great galaxy, and success of alliance brokered by Lord Lucius in stopping threat of Schizmatics, Imperium decided that diplomats could be used as a useful distraction to bid time for rebuilding their strength. As of now, the Corpus Diplomaticus is mainly concerned with building buffor zone between Imperium and any potential threat. Their members, silver-tongued masters of negotiation and persuasion, had to come to terms with no longer having advantage of being backed by Imperial Guard Regiment, and returned to old and tried way of convincing others.

While reclaiming (also known as hoarding) of the lost technology is one of the most important objectives Cult Mechanicus is tasked with, not every member leaves the safety of the Forge World. Most don;t actually. There exist special caste though, the Explorators - Tech-Priests, whose main task is to go out to the galaxy and reclaim any tech objects possible.

Missionary[edit]

Flames of faith are the light of the Imperium (or, as some would say, the pyre on which its future is being consumed). Regardless, Ecclesiarchy needs people that will go out and spread His word. And this duty falls to Missionaries, men and women trained to preach, to lead and convert by example, to be the beacons of His divine light.

Rogue Trader[edit]

Expansion is necessary for growth of any political body, and Imperium is not different. Since normal people are forbidden for leaving their worlds (to say nothing of system, to say nothing about Imperium itself) unless specifically ordered otherwise, there was a need for a special group of people who would be able to go and colonize new worlds, to discover other human micro nations and help integrate them into Imperium (and to trade with them and xeno, becoming obscenely rich). These people are Rogue Traders, granted Warrant Of Trade, which lets them to come into contact with pretty much whomever they deem necessary and act in the name of the Imperium.

Sanctioned Psyker[edit]

MUST POSSES PSYKER ADVANTAGE
There is a small (but steadily growing) percentage of human who are born mutated so that their minds can not only affect Immaterium, but also draw it power and direct it onto material world. These people are known as psykers, and are gathered and sent for extensive testing. Those found lacking in willpower to protect their minds from demons are sacrificed to maintain Golden Throne and Astronomican, while rest undergoes gruesome process of binding their souls to the Emperor. After this, they start serving the Imperium, usually as Astropaths, relying messages faster than light, or as battle psykers, unleashing desastating powers onto the battlefield.

Sororita[edit]

Adepta Sororitas is an all-female organization of numerous religious orders, under the authority of Ecclesiarchy. Most famous are the Sisters of Battle, pyromaniac zealots fighting in order to cleanse all mutants, heretics and aliens. While trere are some new Orders created in the aftermatch of the Schizm, which focus on helping common people of the Imperium, most of them are die-hard traditionalists, set dead-on on bringing around and protecting the old ways, regardless of how effective they are in the changed galaxy.

Void Master[edit]

Monumental voidships, roaming through wast space are the one thing, apart from Imperial Faith, that unifies numerous Imperial worlds. Such vessels are manned by innumerable crew, usually living all their lifes aboard - and the best and most experienced of them are the Voidmasters, people who are officers leading those ships. Just like Arch-Militant is the great commander, so is the Voidmaster best woman (or man) to command voidship's crew.
