RIP AND TEAR

Brutalis Dreadnoughts are the newest kids on the block when it comes to the Space Marines' entombed veteran cripple line-up. Like all things Primaris, they're bigger and more powerful than their brethren - though, roughly the size of it's older brother, while being slightly up-armoured and somewhat faster, perfect for it's role of cannonballing into enemy lines, handing out unnecessarily firm handshakes - essentially, the Furioso to the Redemptor's Castraferrum.

Overview[edit]

The Brutalis Dreadnought sacrifice the Redemptor's versatility for pure close-combat power - foregoing the choice to mount a gun on one of it's hands, instead doubling up on melee power, with the choice between two enormous sets of Brutalis Talons, or two Power Fists (which come with wrist-mounted twin-Linked Bolt Rifle). The talons in particular give the Dread the much-needed ability to fight hordes with two profiles, the AP-3 sweep that gives double the attacks and the devastating Sx2 AP-4 Dd3+3 Strike that can also re-roll to wound, giving an easy way to rip apart tanks.

Still, dedicating oneself to close-combat doesn't mean the Brutalis completely lacks shooting - to the contrary, as instead of it's more range-focused counterpart's titty-mounted Storm Bolters or Grenade Launchers, it has a choice between packing a pair of Goddamn Multi-Meltas, which it uses to violently eviscerate enemy armoured vehicles, holding them in place with it's enormous Power Claws, or a pair of Heavy Bolters. Rounding off this arsenal is a carapace mounted twin Ironhail Heavy Stubber on top in place of the normal Redemptor’s Icarus Rocket Pod, so no matter what option you go with you will still have at least one ranged weapon mounted on this beast.
