Game Times[edit]
Premise[edit]
This campaign is merely a source of productivity for the GM (Mitchell_Henderson) and an exercise for his STing ability. Beyond that, there's nothing really to this campaign. It's just a giant gimmick of it being a campaign being run for an entire week. There'll be a rise, a peak, and a fall, hopefully.
A month ago, Fokuf, the Regent of the Realm had been assassinated with no leads as to who killed him at why. Popular theory is that House Mnemon ordered sent out the execution in an elaborate conspiracy to take hold of the throne. Now, House Tepet has fallen into chaos and has become a ghostly image of what it once was. Its leaders squabble and argue about how either faction in the house planned Fokuf's murder in order to seize the throne for itself. Regardless, with the throne of the Realm empty once again, House Mnemon lurches forward to grab a hold of the throne for itself. The other Houses see this as an exploitation of an unfortunate circumstance and criticize House Mnemon for it, despite the fact that they all share the same envy and desire. Only one group opposes House Mnemon now, and it is a faction created of Houses V'neef, Cathak, and Peleps who are backing a young Terrestrial Exalt who they claim is the rightful heir to the throne. The faction call themselves "The Legion of the White Rose" and have declared that they are ready to stand against House Mnemon and it's plans for usurpation. House Mnemon has also made alliances with the other Houses (oddly, the only public alliance it shares with is House Tepet) and has formed their own faction titled "The Alliance of the Red Rose." Both the armies of the Red and White Roses stand poised to tear The Blessed Isle apart unless someone intervenes.
PCs are assumed to be hired by a mysterious benefactor who is beckoning them to come to The Blessed Isle and attempt to stop a civil war from happening. The conflict between the two alliances are public and all who live on The Blessed Isle fear for the state of their nation.
House Rules[edit]
- Use this template for characters and be sure to edit the categories correctly.
- Dragon-Blooded characters observe the Regular Charm fixes and Mass-combat-oriented Charm Fixes
- Dragon-Blooded gain an additional two XP for every ten XP they accumulate.
- No characters with an Essence above 3 at character creation.
- Characters are subject to approval. If I don't like it, you either have to re-make it or get out. Also, this is very important. Your sheets are open to vandalism. Don't worry, I'm not changing anything major around. Most of the time it's to put the correct amount of XP on there. That's about it.
- Fuck training times. If you have the XP for it, pay it and use that shit the very next session.
- We use Unlimited Combo rules in this neck of the woods, y'hear? If you don't like combos, you don't have to use them. It's up to you.
- Custom Charms/MAs/Artifacts are also subject to approval and follow the same rules as characters.
- Please have your sheet done by at least 12:00 PM EST (GMT-5). If it isn't done by at least then, you have an hour to finish it. If it's not done by then, then I must ask you to leave the game. Sorry.
Mitch's "Three-Strike" system[edit]
IMPORTANT. ALL PLAYERS PLEASE READ.
Okay, it seems I have a REALLY hard time getting players to show up or at least warn me of their absence/tardiness. I like to be a care-free guy that doesn't enforce a lot of rules in order for everyone to show up at the game, but if you don't show up without at least warning me prior to game time, I'll have to give you a strike, just like in baseball. If you accumulate three strikes, you're out of the game. Finito. That's it. You're gone. However, you can get rid of strikes as you continue showing up during games, paying attention, and actually playing. Here's how it works. You don't get a strike if you're only like, three minutes late. You have 15 minutes of what I call mercy time before you get a strike.
- One Strike - -2 die penalty to all die pools for the scene. If you do not show up, you get no XP. If you show up late, you do get full XP.
- Two Strikes - -3 die penalty to all die pools for the next two scenes. If you don't show up, you get no XP, If you show up late, you get half XP, rounded down.
- Three Strikes - You're out. I will have to ask you to leave the game. You can create a new character if you want but you will be unable to keep playing with your current character.
Getting rid of strikes[edit]
Getting rid of strikes are as easy as getting them. Simply show up to as many games as there are strikes on your record plus one. If you have one strike, you need to show up for two games consecutively. If you can't show up for two games consecutively, tell me before game time. If you at least show up for two games since your strike, the strike will be removed from your record.
Setting[edit]
The game takes place mostly on The Blessed Isle. Yes, if you are a Solar/Lunar/Abyssal/Sidereal, you stand the chance of having The Wyld Hunt called on you. That being said, players are assumed to be smart enough not to let their characters walk around The Blessed Isle with their animas flaring.
