The shit Rule 63 version for Space Marines.

There is no tactic more effective for enraging a die-hard SPESS MEHREENS fanboy than discussing/drawing Female Space Marines. According to Games Workshop canon, the gene-seed implants and various other procedures that are used to create a Space Marine only work properly on male subjects, rendering female Marines impossible; however, many on the internet have not allowed this to deter them. Sometimes it is pointed out that back in the Rogue Trader days, Games Workshop did briefly produce two power-armoured female models, but they were changed to "Female Adventurers in Power Armour" and were never meant to represent female Marines.

RAGE is generated by the tactic in two distinct ways; either the neckbeard(s) assume that the creator of the works in question is unaware of this particular piece of Space Marine fluff, and rage about his or her ignorance; failing that, it becomes clear that they are well aware of the fluff regarding these matters and willingly chose to disregard it, sending the poor neckbeards into fits of spastic rage that anyone would dare deliberately defile the sacrosanct canon of Games Workshop's masterpiece.

Games Workshop, on the other hand, officially don't give a damn what anyone does, as long as they keep buying overpriced models.

In canon terms, the Female version of the Spehss mahreens would be the Sisters of Battle, although they're not exactly as powerful as a marine and they're basically a -4str, Rule 63 version.

Are Female Space Marines Really Impossible?

- According to fluff, yes they are outright impossible.

- According to genetics they might be possible!

  • The fluff view: It is said in space marines fluff that Space Marine recruits "...must be male because the zygotes are keyed to male hormones and tissue types."
  • The genetic approach: There is a certain genetic disorder that allows a male to be born as a female. It is called "Complete Androgene Insensitivity Syndrome" (CAIS).

A person that is born with CAIS has XY Chromosomes, therefore they are genetically males (Looks like they have male tissue types!). But since their cells are insensitive to androgenes they are born as females, and develop as females. Such girls have testes in place of ovaries, therefore they produce testosterone instead of estrogen (They have got male hormones as well!).

So according to above statements it is possible to have -4 str marines.

It is open to debate that, why would a space marine chapter require such recruits in the first place?

What would a female space marine look like?

According to common belief and some of the below pictures, they are smoking hot!

But carefull consideration and genuine research will provide a different story.

Space marines are pumped up to have massive muscles and bone structures, so female space marines would be muscle girls more than pretty girls. Since they need to fit in to that typical power armor and indoctrinated to become super soldiers, female space marines will probably, surgically remove their breasts as well.

In short, a female space marine would probably look like Arnold Schwarzeneger without balls.

However, since this is /tg/ and we already don't care too terribly what GW says, all existing accounts of female Space Marines are rendered below, and depicted as accurately as possible.
