A Ork Empire located dangerously close to the Eye of Terror, the Ork Empire of Dregruk is notorious for its power that some Imperial authorities fear may become a unstoppable force if united like that from the War of The Beast. Its ruler, currently Gazgrim, is known as the Great Despot of Dregruk.
Overview
Located near the aforementioned Eye of Terror. This Ork Empire has been at war with the Ork Empire of Gathrog for decades. The two empires field such numbers that if they were to ever unite, the resulting Waaagh! could devastate the Cadian Gate. Dregruk is currently aligned to the infamous Warboss Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka. In the Third War for Armageddon, the forces of the Great Despot of Dregruk were one of the largest Ork armies on Armageddon and were fielded against Armageddon Prime.
8th Edition
With the collapse of the Cadian Gate after Abbadon's 13th Black Crusade, the Eye of Terror exploded and gave the galaxy a new Warp Vagina, which greatly pleases Slaanesh. This giant Warpgina is called the Great Rift and has rocked the foundations of the 40k galaxy.
Due to the enlargement of the Great Rift; empyric anomalies quickly spread through the Calixis and Scarus Sectors. Due to their unfortunate position, a great many planets from the Empire of Gathrog was consumed by the Warp. Exploiting this situation of their now greatly weakened rival, the Great Despot of Dregruk has overthrown the Arch-Dictator of Gathrog. Unconfirmed reports suggest this ruler in turn has either joined forces with, or has fallen to, Warlord Krooldakka, whose Speedwaaagh! has reached the crucial world of Vigilus in the War of Beasts (Not to be confused with the similarly named War of The Beast).
