This table was created by fa/tg/uys in order to generate a Mechanicus Skitarii force.


Adeptus Mechanicus Demographics

This is likely lore-breaking in multiple ways and should be checked over by an Admech expert or two

Recruitment Criteria d100
All male [m/f ratio adjustable] 1-11
All female [m/f ratio adjustable] 12-16
Caste-born: Raised from birth to serve the Omnissiah and his chosen Tech-priests as warriors. 17-30
Abhumans: Ratlings, Ogryns, Subs, Scalies, and other such beings who have, either as a desperate measure or as an experiment, been inducted into the armies of the Cult Mechanicus. 31
Knight Worlders: In some cases, Knight World serfs or men-at-arms may be fed into the Skitarii meat-grinder when their overlords fail to pay their tithe in entirety. 32-33
Menial: The indentured masses toiling in the hive-workshops of Forge Worlds are very often inducted into the ranks of the Skitarii. 34-50
Feral Worlders: These formerly unwashed savages were conditioned and repurposed into loyal Tech-Guards, while retaining a spark of convenient ferocity. 51-52
Lottery: Whatever the origin of these warriors of the Machine-God, they were randomly picked among their peers, be it as an exceptional stop-gap measure (as exceptional as desperation is in the Imperium, anyway) or as a regular process. 53-56
Voidborn: Born on asteroids, orbital hives, far-flung Mechanicus Demesne, defense, mining, transport or Explorator fleets, or any other place lacking natural gravity and atmosphere. Most useful in void warfare. 57-63
Firstborn: The eldest child in every home is taken into the Legion, as their world's tribute or penance to the Omnissiah. 64-67
Vat-grown: these clones were born away from the grasp of unclean Nature, and created to fulfill whatever exacting criteria their masters had in mind. 68-90
Out of Favour: Oftentimes entire Mechanicus sects fall from grace, and some of them are turned into Legionnes Skitarii, their Fabricator General ensuring their loyalty through crude psysurgery. 91
Wild Spirits: Acolytes of the Cult Mechanicus whose warlike nature and short attention spans made them unsuitable for higher pursuits, they were pressed into combat duty. 92
Repentants: Repurposed lowest-order Hereteks. Their records scourged, their minds scorched by glorious meme-chips, weak flesh replaced with holy plasteel, these lowly worms are now ready to do the Omnissiah's work. 93-94

Forge World Properties and Glitches

Reoccurring Glitches d10
Ionic Flux: Small power surges in cybernetics that cause shocks and can occasionally lead to failure of limbs and internal "organs". 1-2
Noospheric Interference: Receivers and transceivers act up, and occasionally the Maniple's noospheric aura fluctuates wildly, rendering orders incomprehensible, and removing the ability of Tech-priests to direct the Skitarii remotely. 3-4
Defective Omnispexes: There are flaws in the programing of the Skitarii omnispex, which causes inaccuracies over long distances, proving disastrous in combat. 5-6
Cybernetic Cortex Reboot: Skitarii occasionally suffer from the feared blue screen of death, which causes entire Maniples to cease to function until the holy rites of resuscitation can be enacted. 7-8
The Silicon Animus: Kastelan units sometimes achieve sentience, and must be purged. 9-10

Skitarii Legend

Notable Deeds (d100)
1–5 Discovered a new STC template.
6–10 Saved a piece of valuable Archeotech from hereteks/xenos.
11–20 Defeated an abominable intelligence, daemon engine or other daemonic machine construct.
21–30 Crafted a servitor the likes of which is rarely, if ever seen.
31–40 Destroyed an enemy weapon manufacturing hub, securing an Imperial victory, and eliminating a blasphemy against the Omnissiah.
41–50 Established a entirely new Forge-World in the name of the Omnissiah.
51–60 Successfully modified a prior STC into a brand new pattern, which now has widespread use within parts of the Imperium.
61–70 Crushed a heretek rebellion with such force that their planet will not be livable for millennia.
71–80 Was able to not only disable a traitor Titan, but also to purge its interior and purify the machine spirit; reclaiming a valuable weapon for the Adeptus Titanicus.
81–95 After being accused of heresy for worshiping the Omnissiah, the Maniple proved their righteousness by holding off a siege from particularly zealous Imperial allies until their name was cleared by Father Mars, and the Fabricator-General.
96–100 Lost to the Warp. The Legion was once left tattered and broken by a Warp drive malfunction, stranding the survivors far from their Forge-World, low on supplies. They however, through much effort, made their way back, and rebuilt.


Infamous Failures (d10)
1 Horrific Blunder - In some how part due to the Forgeworld's and its maniples incompetence, a vital STC blueprint was utterly destroyed. Whether or not it is truly their fault, it matters not; they carry with them a deep shame for which they will always be looked down upon.
2 Fallen Forge - This Maniple is directly responsible for the loss of a critical forge to enemy hands, whether it be from the conniving Xenos or the dreaded hands of Chaos. This has hurt the pride of the Maniple, and has also reduced the manufacturing capability of the Forge-World overall.
3 Tech-Heresy - Through methods of unholy science, the Maniple was able to defeat a mighty enemy. It was only afterwards that these powers were revealed and purged, along with any who had a hand in it.
4 Death of Logic - The Maniple's lines were broken during a Daemonic invasion, scattering as the warp spawn cut through them and those they were charged to protect. Visions of the impossible geometries and horrific forces scarred them, weakening the Maniple's belief in the unfailing logic of the Machine God.
5 Broken Cogs - Through a horrific betrayal, the Maniple was forced to slay its sister Forge-World, killing off all its spirits, priests and machines, many of whom we're brothers and sisters in the cult. When the Maniple left, all that remained were the broken, shattered pieces of those they once held closest.
6 Horrors of the Ancient Past - This Maniple was present during the awakening of a major Necron Tomb World. At first what seemed a miracle, turned to a horrific nightmare as their fellows were cut down by beams of pale green light. Escaping with the minimal amounts of data they could, they have never since escaped the emerald glare of technology's true masters.
7 Recall File: Tyrannis - In a experience not unfamiliar to the Adeptus Mechanicus, a important Forge-World under the Maniple's watch fell prey to a Tyranid hive fleet, which left the world a unproductive ruin, its great manufactorums now silent
8 Clash of Faith - This Maniple suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of a Sisters of Battle covenant after offending the honored sisters. Many forges were ruined in their zealous rage, and from now on, the Forge-World is sure to remember the fine balance of the God-Emperor and the Omnissiah.
9 Upstart Enemies - In an appalling turn of events, the Maniple allowed a army of the wretched Tau to capture a crucial Forge-World. When the Tau were finally repelled, they found the Machine spirits desecrated, and unwilling to return to the proper bindings of their true masters. In rage, the entirety of the forges were destroyed.
10 Titan's Fall - This Maniple was nearly wiped out when during a war against the fell powers, A entire titan legion turned traitor. Death sung from their cannons, and even to this day, whispers tell of the horrors visited upon them by their former brothers, who still hunt them to this day.

Weapons Testing and Development Facility: Here Tech-priests pour over the sacred STC canon looking for new weapon designs, and testing those recovered by Explorator fleets. 6-7
Exploratory Vessel: SPAAACE! This Legion has the honor of serving aboard an Explorator fleet, bringing the light of Knowledge to the far reaches of the galaxy, and defending the Tech-priests as they continue on the Quest for Knowledge. 8-10

Skitarii Tactical Information

Forgeworld Army Core Units (d100)
1-25 Combat Servitor Reliant: Almost entirely comprised of simple combat servitors, relying only on Tech-priests and Skitarii for leadership roles.
26-45 Servitor Supported Skitarii: Skitarii are used as elite troops, while combat Servitors provide support to them.
46-60 Skitarii Reliant: Composed almost entirely of Skitarii, serving all functions within the army.
61-80 Techpriest supported Skitarii: Tech-priests of the Fulgurite and Corupscarii brotherhoods and Cybernetica Datasmith's provide tactical support.
81-90 Cult Zealots: The Tech-priests fill all combat rolls, with minimal reliance on Skitarii or servitors.
91-100 Cybernetica Datasmith's and their Robots: The army is entirely made up of Kastelan robots and their attendant Datasmith's.

Cogs in the Great Machine: These Skitarii are little more than Servitors controlled remotely by Tech-priests. 1-2
Fingers in the Fist of the Omnissiah: Only the Princeps/Alphas are sentient and they lead their brethren with ruthless efficiency. 3-5
Manipulated: While retaining some autonomy and sentience, they are manipulated by Tech-priests sending them Doctrina Imperatives and other directives. 6-8
Complete Autonomy: Have complete sentience and free will, but do as their Tech-priest Domini will, seeing their word as that of the Omnissiah. 9-10
