Wyvarans are essentially Paizo's answer to adding Dragonborn to Pathfinder since the actual race wasn't included in any part of the OGL when it was made. Rather than just being the result of a dragon breeding with a human, Wyvarans are explicitly mentioned to be the result of magical experiments to merge Kobolds and Wyverns. As a culture, they're mostly isolated from most other contact as they tend to stick towards their own.

While they're awesome for having wings that let them actually fly from the start, expect lots of GMs to nerf that for all reasons (just like Aarakocra in 5E). Sadly, they don't get any sort of breath weapon, but then, wyverns don't have one either, instead relying on a scorpion-like stinging tail.
