Captain Edward "Metal" Roberts[edit]

Race
Warforged Swashbuckler/Dread Pirate, Male personality
Hometown
Mechanus
Alignment
Chaotic Good
Notable quote
"Fortunately, I have this eyepatch that I've never used before!"

--

Edward is one of the first Warforged sent Aeus by Karn(not Kharn}, the Golem God. Despite his loud and bombastic manner, the Captain values peace and and a quiet lifestyle more than anything else, which is why he chose a career as an 'honest' Free Trader rather than an adventurer. Unfortunately, his chaotic nature, horribly bad luck, abysmal memory, and tendency to take the highest-paying and thus most dangerous jobs conspire to heap trouble on him wherever he goes. His sense of justice, although strong, is rarely aroused.

Callil, the Dark Scrivener[edit]

Race
Tiefling Rogue/Shadowdancer, Female
Hometown
Marshwood
Alignment
Chaotic Neutral turned Chaotic Good
Notable quote
"I hate my family. I wish they would all ju- ooh, shiny!"

--

Born into an unloving fiendish family, Callil learned quickly the advantage of being unseen. She ran away as soon as she was able, vowing to return and slay the lot of them. She has since become a highly experienced thief with skills bordering on supernatural. Although she is capable of swindling valuable treasure from the mansions of misers and noblemen, she instead seems to enjoy the act of petty theft, focusing her efforts on coin purses, school supplies and tavern safes. She replaces her items with hastily-scrawled notes, thus earning her title.

Gorbin Wallace[edit]

Race
Human Duskblade/Starmetal Adept, Male
Hometown
Lanaan
Alignment
True Neutral
Notable quote
"I'll be in my bunk,"

--

The introverted first mate of the Odyssey, Gorbin spends his time in his room, forging new weapons or improving his old ones. His masterpiece is Brenda, a heavily-enhanced greatsword made of pure starmetal, the same substance that has pumped through his veins ever since he discovered it as a newly-orphaned youth, after a starmetal meteor crushed his family home.
Gorbin is unyielding in his loyalty to the Captain and the ship, and plans to stay on board once his starmetal-fueled ascension is complete.

True Neutral
Notable quote
"You don't pay me enough for this shit, cap'n,"

--

An Armadan through and through, Iji prides himself on adapting to new situations, most of which are the Captain's fault. He joined was drafted on to Metal's crew after flaunting his talent at repairing and rigging complex machinery. He serves as chief engineer / captain's bitch, and normally stays on the ship if the crew goes on a job.

Saphra Connell[edit]

Race
Aasimar Paladin/Archivist, female
Hometown
Armada
Alignment
Lawful Good
Notable quote
". . ."

--

A withdrawn religious scholar imprisoned and experimented upon by Yxlith. Every day of her incarceration, she prayed to Akroma to grant her release. Over time, this prayer, in combination with the illithid foolishly allowing Saphra to browse the arcane library, granted her enough power to summon a Justice Archon. Escape was swift and effortless. Since joining the crew of the Odyssey at the Captain's insistence, Saphra, although still reticent, has began to emerge from her shell and embrace her destiny as a Paladin of Akroma, the Angel of Wrath.

Whiskers[edit]

Race
Catfolk Expert/Bard, male
Hometown
Armada
Alignment
True Neutral
Notable quote
"Everyone's problems would be solved if they just sat down and had a drink."

--

Known as "The Ears of Armada", Whiskers owns and manages a self-titled tavern in the heart of the city. He serves fair-priced food and drink from every corner of the world, and even a few choice goods from off-plane. It is said he hears every rumor passed, every word of gossip spoken, and that he can pass that knowledge on. . .for a price.
It is also said that Whiskers himself used to be an adventurer in his glory days, that he now lives vicariously though the adventurers that now pour in and out of his establishment, and that every once in a while, he dusts off his flute and plays the songs of old. . .

Rakuku "Rooky" Illwing[edit]

Race
kenku rogue/assassin, male
Hometown
Armada
Alignment
Neutral Evil
Notable quote
"Don't cross a kenku. We're watching."

--

Leader of a considerable nest of kenku, the paranoid Rakuku is the leader of both the assassin's guild and a massive illegal trading enterprise. He believes that he embodies the "true" face of Armada: sly, cruel and willing to provide nearly any service if the price is right. He provides up-and-coming adventurers with their first jobs, and is owed many debts across the world. He has spies everywhere. He is watching.

Andre Galette[edit]

Race
hobgoblin crusader, male
Hometown
Armada
Alignment
Lawful good
Notable quote
"Armada may be ugly, but she's mine, and I will protect her."

--

Standing just over seven feet tall, Andre is a menacing figure. Garbed in heavy mithral armor, he patrols the shadiest districts of Armada, making sure the Unspoken Law is upheld. Despite his menacing snarl the hobgoblin has a reputation for mercy, and would much rather frighten then injure his opponents. He leads the town guard and the standing militia.

Admiral Eblis O'Donnell[edit]

Race
wizard/swashbuckler, male
Hometown
Annir
Alignment
Chaotic neutral
Notable quote
"Metal, what have you gotten yourself into now?"

--

Eblis is the leader of Armada's aerial navy, and once commanded the mightiest ship in the skies, The Indomitable. Unfortunately, the Indomitable was recently dominated and sank by a kobold ship, The Ire of kurtulmak. Eblis was quite the swashbuckler back in his prime, but now dabbles mostly in spellcraft. Him and Captain Roberts have some sort of relationship from the distant past, but Eblis seems unwilling to discuss it.

Lunk[edit]

Race
warforged fighter/expert, male personality
Hometown
Mechanus
Alignment
True Neutral
Notable quote
". . .I can fix that!"

--

Lunk, another warforged sent to Aeus by Karn, has developed a great passion for the building and rebuilding of airships and constructs. He says it brings him closer to understanding his own origins, and the possibility of altering the warforged race for the better. His current project is the mass production of gith-built gate-engines in order to hopefully settle the increasingly unpopular war with the City of Brass. He can always be found below Armada, in the cavernous dry-dock.

Umberto Muramme[edit]

Race
human commoner, male
Hometown
Ollam
Alignment
chaotic neutral
Notable quote
"Hon hon hon!"

--

A traveling merchant of questionable taste, Umberto wanders the corners of Aeus, bringing strange and bizarre trinkets to the masses. He enjoys virtual diplomatic immunity, having forged partnerships with Captain Roberts, Admiral O'Donnell, Rakuku, and numerous other powerful figures. He has no airship to call his own, instead relying on his connections to secure passage on commercial and cargo ships. He uses his Flying Carpet when no such passage is available.

Xakatashik[edit]

Race
dragon-blooded aasimar battledancer, male
Hometown
Armada
Alignment
chaotic good
Notable quote
"Smile, and the world smiles back,"

--

The result of several generations of draconic pranks and celestial tolerance, Xak was raised by his half-celestial grandmother to be a monk. But his draconic father's free spirit runs strong in him, and he subtly twisted her lessons until he had discovered a fighting style all his own. Xak views the world with an almost childlike innocence despite his strict upbringing, and makes many friends and allies in his travels.

Darius Krupp[edit]

Race
human wizard(?), male
Hometown
unknown
Alignment
Neutral Good
Notable quote
"I could help you if I wasn't, you know, dead,"

--

Once a spellcaster of unimaginable power, the now-deceased Darius resides as a haunting presence within one of his old robes. He and Yxlith apparently have history together, most likely involving utter hatred. When Yxlith first empowered the annihilus, Darius was quick to cast dysjunction on it, losing his spellcasting ability permanently. Yxlith was defeated, but Darius was now a mere commoner, and froze to death on the streets some time later.

Bookwyrm[edit]

Race
great wrym silver dragon/sacred warder of Bahamut, male
Hometown
unknown
Alignment
Lawful Good
Notable quote
"No creature, great or small, can hope to change the entire world. I can only hope I have done my part."

--

The enigmatic silver wyrm known as "Bookwyrm" resides in an immense library nestled in the Temtort mountains. The library is his hoard, knowledge his treasure. Anyone seeking knowledge for the sake of knowledge is welcomed, those who seek knowledge to shackle and dominate the weak are met with mighty resistance.
Although reading is his greatest joy, he has been known to adventure in his own way; facing down dragons, tyrannical arcanists and even the avatars of gods. He refuses to harm children, and adopts the eggs and wyrmlings of slain dragons, raising them to follow the teachings of Bahamut. Krekon, Cybil, Vaktar and Luminia are among his numerous adopted children.
Bookwyrm has never revealed his true name to a non-dragon, he smugly believes it to be unpronounceable by inferior tongues.

Melniirkumaukrekon[edit]

Race
red dragon barbarian, male
Hometown
Temtort mountains
Alignment
Chaotic Good
Notable quote
"Silly little humans and your silly little doors,"

--

The youngest of Bookwyrm's adopted children, Krekon possesses fury and strength beyond his years, unmatched by that of his older siblings. His parents were slain before he met them, and he considers Bookwyrm his true father. He looks upon Tiamat and her ilk with the utmost hatred, and has vowed to follow in Bookwyrm's footsteps, striking down followers of the Chromatic Queen and converting survivors to his cause.

Luminia[edit]

Race
purple dragon warblade, female
Hometown
Temtort mountains
Alignment
Lawful Good
Notable quote
"How fascinating. . .our mere presence seems to terrify them,"

--

Luminia is the fourth young chromatic dragon Bookwyrm 'rescued' from the Outer Planes. Curious by nature, she is secretly jealous of the polymorphing ability of her two metallic siblings, as she believes becoming a humanoid would enable her to understand them better. Although normally collected and the most straightforward of her family, she becomes bloodthirsty and violent in combat.

Yxlith[edit]

Race
Illithid sorcerer/cerebromancer, female
Hometown
unknown
Alignment
Lawful Evil
Notable quote
"My toys keep breaking,"

--

Presumably the last of her kind, the illithid arbiter known as Yxlith once came very close to bringing the illithid empire back to its prime but was thwarted by a now-deceased sorcerer named Darius. She spent the next few years in her isolated laboratory performing complicated and often lethal experiments on all manner of living creatures. She was eventually killed by the same artifact that brought her to power years before.

Narrik Ellya[edit]

Race
human swashbuckler/thrall to Jubilex, male
Hometown
Armada(?)
Alignment
Chaotic Evil
Notable quote
"I will be like him; immortal and all-consuming!"

--

Once a humble potter from the shantytowns, Narrik had a vision. He claimed that, while handling a wet, unworked lump of clay, he saw perfection. If sculpted correctly, this wet lump of goop could be made to serve any purpose, fulfill any task. He would become as the clay, malleable and full of potential. He had found his lord and master: Jubilex.

After briefly leading a small cult in Armada's sewers dedicated to the Faceless Lord, Narrik was dispatched by Akroma's Devoted.
