The Arthromite Duneskuttlers are the apex predators of the Ash Wastes in Necromunda.

Overview[edit]

Unlike the Dustback Helamite cavalry, Duneskuttlers are vicious creatures that hunt for prey by burrowing into the treacherous sands of the Ash Wastes to ambush unwary passers-by like a four-legged version of an Ambull. They are basically giant tiger-beetles and look absolutely awesome as a result.

When they feel vibrations from above, they launch out of the sands in a blur of carapace and claw, dragging their catch down below. Left to their own devices, these vermin are deadly enough, but under the lash of a Nomad Herder - which they prize so much, they become insectile shock troops.

Duneskuttlers make great hunting companions. Surviving in the deadly Ash Wastes has granted them a keen predatory instinct and a physiology that makes them Hard to Kill.

Crunch[edit]

On Necromunda, these guys are the brutes for the Nomads, full stop. The Herder is a dedicated hanger-on that functions as a handler for it. The scuttler is a S5/T5 with 3 wounds, Carapace Armour, a 6″ movement phase, plus the ability to climb without movement penalty. Overall, very fucking nasty beastie that acts as a great DISTRACTION CARNIFEX.
