Tordek Goldmane

Biography

Tordek Goldmane is a dwarf whom caries the golden hair that his family is named for. He has long, straight hair, and a large, bushy beard. He maintains a neat look, for someone who spends much of their time in the wilderness. His hair is cut semi-short, about 8 inches, and is slicked back. His beard is let to grow to the shape it pleases. His passion in life is to explore the world, to see new things and to collect the wealth that comes with such a life. He is an unofficial member of the Explorers' Guild. He travels with his own earned money, without guild support, and is able to go exactly where he wants to go, and do what he wants to do. However, much of the information collected on his journeys is taken to the guild, and the guild does compensate him for any useful information he may provide about the world. He also has a good number of friends in the guild, who are sometimes able to give assistance on where there might be a good place to prospect, or any such information.

He comes from a long line of trading class dwarves, who operate a shop in Iron Forge. As a child, Tordek would work in the shop, and occasionally, travel abroad with his father on business, meeting many non-dwarves, and seeing many locales that seemed rather exotic to the young bronzebeard dwarf. When Tordek reached adulthood, he did not wish to continue in the family business, but rather to go explore the world. While his father did not agree with this decision, he did respect it as an honorable profession that could bring wealth and honor to the family name. The respect, however, did not bring any support. Tordek was on his own on his mission to explore the world. At first he spent a lot of time in the mountains of northern Khaz Modan, searching for the copper and tin the hills were so well known for. Once he had a decent supply of cash, he was able to travel further abroad and see many of the wonders that call Azeroth home. He has had friendly dealings with just about every race, and has had trouble from them all as well. If someone can prove themselves to be a worthy companion, Tordek will be sure to treat them as such. If not, he will work to avoid violence, but should violence be necessary, he is not afraid to use force.
