Ceramite
Ceramite is a fictional material of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, used by the Imperium of Man. It is a composite made from ceramic and titanium.
Power Armour (but not most suits of Terminator Armor) is made from it, and vehicles making orbital drops (like Thunderhawks, Stormravens, Storm Eagles, and Stormtalons) are often plated with ceramite tiles to protect them from the heat of re-entry. This also has the effect of protecting such vehicles from the extra armor-penetrating ability of melta weapons. The Land Raider Achilles was built with ceramite plating for just such a reason.
There are many grades of ceramite, with the higher grades being produced solely by the Adeptus Mechanicus to manufacture more expensive forms of armour (e.g the aforementioned Power Armour and the ceramite plates of Baneblades). Mid-quality ceramite is the most mass produced and is used in the construction of large buildings, starships and lightly armoured vehicles. The lowest quality (usually watered down forms of recycled higher grades) is the only grade not used to build weapons, and is used to form base frames for smaller buildings or the construction of Hive Cities.
There's ceramite in the real world too, which bears some similarity to the fictional stuff. It's a high grade ceramic material used in furnaces and chemical plants because it's checked out for over 1400 degrees of heat resistance. It's not quite as baller as the far future stuff, but still. Pretty cool. Get your ceramite here! (Except not, because ceramite is supposed to be made from metallic compounds.)
Additionally, functional metal ceramic materials are known as cermets and are used in everything from helicopter blades to jet engines. In 2006, a particularly promising blend was found to be, you guessed it, a ceramic-titanium alloy hybrid recipe. Assuming it ever reaches mass productive status in the auto industry, ceramite may someday break free from the pages of fiction and find a home outside your household, under the name cermite. Titanium and ceramics have met before, in the form of cookware and prosthetics, but it's a start to what the Imperium regularly rolls with.
