Crag Giant

Crag Giants are one of the few species of giants surviving in the Dungeons & Dragons setting of Dark Sun. Canonically, they only appeared in the much-reviled splatbook Mind Lords of the Last Sea, and such they have very little information to go off of. It's all but blatantly stated that crag giants are the fallen descendants of Athasian Storm Giants, who were driven from their home and forced into a reservation on what is now called "The Lonely Buette" by the Mind Lords during the CLeansing Wars. Whilst this prevented their annihilation, as so many other races suffered, the environment is a terrible match for them, and it is slowly killing them, to the point that their extinction is confirmed. All the survivors live for now is the hope of one day avenging themselves on the Mind Lords who stuck them on the buette.

Dimwitted but largely benevolent (Chaotic Good is their dominant alignment, with exceptions always being Chaotic), crag giants have the appearance of 25-foot-tall humanoids with thick black hair, rugged human features, and skin color ranging from dusky gray to stony brown. They have no inherent special abilities outside of their enormous strength, but many of them are elemental clerics devoted to the powers of Air... despite the fact that they are a pretty dull-witted race, with an average Intelligence of 5-7.
