Ehrshegh, plural Ehrsheghlien and meaning Blood of Light in elvish, is a non-Azrai blooded being that has been altered by the divine blood they possess.

Ehrsheghlien tend to be rare in Cerilia simply for the fact that the blood of other gods doesn't forcibly change the host, where as those who possess the blood of Azrai will be eventually changed, usually against their own wishes. The blood of other gods can change the host, but they must want the change to happen, and even then most people associate the shapechanging from divine blood with awnsheghlien.

Aurichlacht[edit]

Hap Prechlen Thelma est Chauchen was a reclusive and talented wizard from Treucht, who was married to an anonymous elf from the forest of Coulladaraight. For years the two wandered the forests, until Thelma gave birth to their daughter, and future regent of Treucht, Belinda, with the mysterious elf vanishing soon after. Thelma then abandoned her arcane abilities and became a priestess of the Treucht Chauchen, which she established, driving the guilds out of Treucht and forbidding the logging and sale of lumber in the land. Thelma has since then become more reclusive, being busy with protecting the realm from the many threats with divine and arcane magic, and helping her daughter rule the realm. When she was last seen publicly, she was a being of light and translucence, and came to be known then as Aurichlacht, the Golden Light.

Borelas the Badger[edit]

Borelas is a human ranger who wanders the northern woods of the Rjurik Higlands, hunting the numerous monsters and awnshegh minions, protecting the people and the land from them. Borelas's transformation is a recent development, with his left hand and half of his face becoming those of his totem animal, the badger. Though he doesn't know why he's transforming, he still strives to continue on his current path, hiding his transformations from other people.

The Fae[edit]

The Fae was Ryllimahr, a beautiful, kind, and agreeable elven lady who was supposedly the queen, or a high-ranking member, of a clan of elves that lived in the Forest of Thuringode. After the battle at Deismaar, Ryllimahr began to change slowly, with her hair becoming silver, and then reflective crystal, and her magical powers increasing. 700 years before the current day, she grew wings of mist, morning dew, and frost, using them to fly over the Krakennauricht, supposedly to her death. Since then however, people have begun telling tales of a luminous figure made of living crystal walking the Hoarfell Mountains during moonrise and singing ancient elven ballads. Those who have made the journey to seek the being out have never returned.

The Faun[edit]

The Faun is a little known Ehrshegh who resides within the northern forests of the Blood Skull Barony, described only as a Rjurik man with the legs of goat. Nobody knows of his origins, but many suspect that he may have been a druid in service of Erik. All tales of him tell that those who hear his singing are forcefully drawn to him, and that those who drink and dance with him for a night come back days later, having aged several years.

The Golden Unicorn[edit]

Bhaervas Whyrven was the high priest of Anduiras, a healer, and a retainer of Haelyn who fought during the battle at Deismaar. When the gods died, he was given the blood of the gods like many others present, but he let his blood overwhelm him willingly, so that he could better heal the sick and the wounded, and protect others from the Gorgons forces. A year after the battle, Bhaervas had fully transformed into the Golden Unicorn and become a powerful healer, with a lock of his mane being able cure illness, and a touch from his horn able to completely restore a persons youth and vitality. Nobody has seen him for a long time however, and an old Anuirean ballad says that he galloped across the waves of the Gulf of Coeranys, vowing to return only when his healing abilities wouldn't be needed and all of Cerilia knew peace. Many people also make pilgrimages to the Whyrven family's now-ruined tower in Aerenwe, seeing it as a holy place for miracle cures.

The Pegasus[edit]

The Pegusus is another Ehrshegh born from the battle at Deismaar, having originally been the charger Haelyn rode upon. The death of the old gods bestowed the horse power, intelligence, and fully functional wings. The Pegasus has been an ally of goodness since Deismaar, but no one has seen the Ehrshegh in years, as only those of the Roele bloodline could call on him. Also not the only pegasus in Cerilia, just the most famous one.

The Phoenix[edit]

There are many versions of the Phoenixes origin, but every version is the same. The Phoenix was a member of a notable Khinasi house and a priestess of Avani, who became so close to the gods and peaceful, one day she burst into flames and transformed into the firebird. Though no official sighting has been made of her in over 300 years, most believe she's roosting on the island of Ghamoura, at the peak of Ras Deissid.

The Treant[edit]

The Treant is Gunnar Svorjinn, a giant oak tree with a discernible bearded face, and a former Grand Druid of Erik who has rooted himself down to a clearing in the Aelvinnwode in Cariele. For the last 250 years, the Treant has no moved or talked to anyone besides his dryad companions, while every years a number of druids make a journey to his clearing in hope of gaining wisdom from him. While seemingly content to remain as a regular tree part of nature, tales tell that he can uproot every tree within a mile, and make them march where he wants. Also not the only treant in Cerilia, just the most famous one.

The Water Maiden[edit]

The Water Maiden was a half-elven wizard and consort to an elven lord from the forests of Lluabraight with power over water, and could turn herself into a body of water to escape when needed. She was last seen attempting to flow to safety from the Gorgon, but that she evaporated somewhere in the foothills of the Stonecrown Mountains in Markazor. However, a diviner who inspected the area she was last seen around has discovered an aquifer near the surface, leading some to believe that this may be the hiding Water Maiden.
