Why Play NCA?[edit]
The Question should be why wouldn't you play NCA? Besides your wallet that is, but at least it ain't another particular grimderp money drain.

Units Overview[edit]
Light Infantry[edit]
- Auxilia: Auxillia is a combination of a cheap specialist and camo hunter/close range fighter. The ability to fight in two places at once or use an expendable piece of equipment to force a Camo trooper into revealing itself on a 15 pts FO is not something to scoff at.
- Fusiliers: A solid bs12 line trooper that will fail and spend 2 extra orders on any other stat. The FO has a repeater and the medic is buds with the orcs, but they are just plain was it not for the other units that can link with them. Regardless that is why you take them, 10 base points for BS 12 is cheap as fritz.
- Fusilier Indigo Richard Quinn:
- Fusilier Indigo Bipandra:
- Deva Funktionaries: Outrageously high stats and enough profiles to solve any number of problems, Devas make both great backline Lts or frontline combatants. WIP 15 in a PanO sectorial- yes please!
- Hexas, Strategic Security Division: A true clandestine PanOceanian unit, Hexas can be a real pain in the ass to remove, if armed with a MULTI Sniper or a Spitfire. WIP 13 and two hacker profiles make it also a decent, if expensive, Infowar and Specialist choice. With Camouflage, Surprise Attack, and Mimetism-6, they're not too expensive for a solid skirmisher unit.
- Machinist: To truly reflect Quasimodo CB lowered his WIP by one over other standard engineers. NCA is where his tale is truly reflected, overthrowing the need for authority while trolling the Bolts with the Bioimmunity they themselves lost.
- Trauma Doc: only take her to deny kill based objectives, surprisingly competent against speculo killers [bang].
- Tech-Bees, Maintenance Battalions: An odd Irregular trooper, the Tech-Bee is a 5pts specialist (WIP12, but for that cost it's still a bargain) armed with a pistol and a Flash Pulse. Lacking its old 'Remote Assistant' option, it's no longer the Engineer buff, but they're still a decent ARO option and can do objectives. Take or leave.
- admittedly she has a great toolkit to follow a tag around, for 5 points she can be a quite active irregular trooper.
Mercenaries[edit]
- Aida Swanson, Submondo Smuggler: As a smuggler Booty is an obvious flavor thing, but still very nice from time to time. Forward deployment, MA L2 and Viral Mines, aswell as her SMG make her role of defending/taking the midfield obvious- she's not the cheapest choice for this role, but a competent one, especially if going first.
- Corporate Security Unit: CSU have Metachemistry, which can be very good if the RNG-gods favor you. They also get sixth sense and can be included into a Fusiliers-link
- Shona Carano, Special Instructor and Aristeia! Swordmaster: Hits like a brick with her (+1Dam, AP) CC attack on 26s, and wields a EXP CC weapon on top. good look trying to hit her as she dodges on 17s. She's a wildcard so take her as the CC expert into your offensive link.
- Warcors: 3pts for an irregular Flashpulse ARO. Fit him into your list whenever you got the slot and points, they're well worth it.
Medium Infantry[edit]
- Bolts: Marksmanship makes bolts hit hard on a effective BS of 16, the abundance of shotguns and the spitfire allow them to hold their own in the midfield while the multi sniper with msv1 provide a hard to shift defensive link piece. The hackers offer a good toolkit to go tag and hi hunting, with the killer hacking being a good armor hunter to carry with the link or take solo. Drop bears are situational to take, but you can do worse then dropping/throwing a few around instead of wasting half an order. Did we mention you won’t be able to find or afford a box of them?
- Indigo Spec-ops Captain Ulma Sorensen:
- Black Friars: You may not be expecting the Inquisition, but it certainly expects you. The Black Friar has two distinct profiles: an MSV2 MULTI Sniper, making him a Nisse substitute and an anti-shenanigans MULTI Rifle profile. MSV2, Biometric Visor and Albedo should cut short any fancy movements from Camouflaged, Holoprojector and Impersonation units, without fear of retribution from MSV ARO pieces, while Drop Bears let him mine the minelayers. The downsides are his squishiness and slow movement, but he shouldn't be moving too far; he's a bit of a scare unit. Black Friars get to be wildcards in NCA.
Heavy Infantry[edit]
- Aquila Guard: Three things set the Aquila apart, msv3, a long-range gun and the ballistic skill to use it, this all results in a heafty price that is hard to fit. The FTO is the go-to profile, providing a strong wildcard specialist and gunpiece to any link.
- Orcs: Pretty much your standard 6-2 HI, these generic guys don't offer much special, but will offer a reliable shot and a reliable PH for dodging and medkits. The feuerbach is an good hybrid active/reactive weapon as a nice touch.
- WinterFor: The extra vertical mobility is worth mentioning for the engagement options it opens up.
- Varuna: Stealth on the Feuerbach is a waste of points and rarely relevant, the shotgun however will gladly sneak onto some hacker and apply some Gun Foo.
- Overall the orcs offer some nice options that sit well in a fusiliers linkteam, however with a limit of 2 it is worth considering what role you want them to fill.
- Swiss Guard: The hmg is solid, the hacker not really worth taking, but the missile is the bomb. Mainly used to disrupt linkteams, but you will need to be mindful of your engagements and trades to make your point investment back.
Tactical Armor Gear[edit]
TAGS:
- Squalos: NCA's premier and only MBT. Operating within the 70 - 80 point range, the Squalos is quite capable of being taken in a full 15 order list. The Squalos within NCA has Duo which enables another Squalo to join it or one of the NCA wildcards. Some ideal Duo Options for the Squalos are: Heavy Shotgun (HSG) Bulleteer, Shona Carano or the Multi Rifle Black Friar.
- Uhlan: NCA's Anti-TAG TAG. This Stingray TAG is typically 10 points more expensive than the Squalos MBT; however brings a few toys along with that 88 points. The Uhlan rocks up to the game with 3STR, Camo (-3), a B3/B2 DAM 15 Feuerbach, and a DAM 16 HMG and surprise attack and Tactical awareness. This guy is best suited to be your G2 support gun, that's not to say that he can't do work in G1, but he's no MBT.
Remotes[edit]
- Dronbots: Standard issue S3 Remotes, PanOceanian ones are not special in any way.
- Clipper: The Smart Missile Launcher Remote. Unfortunately PanO does not have good FOs or Hackers, so it's usually a waste to take one. Especially as the missiles can be hacked back by other faction's better hackers.
- Fugazi: The Repeater/Flash Pulse Remote. Cheap Regular Order and a mobile Repeater. Nice filler or Flash Pulse ARO.
- Pathfinder: The Forward Observer Remote. Mobile Repeater, armed, specialist, for 16 pts. It is one of PanO's better specialists, in part due to its fast movement.
- Sierra: The HMG Total Reaction Remote. Just park it where it can cause your opponent the most trouble moving around.
- Mulebots: Standard issue S4 Baggage Remotes. Come with Minesweeper, EVO Hacker and TR Combi profiles. EVO Hacker is the one to take if you plan on using a lot of AD (you shouldn’t), TeamPro or Armbots. Minesweeper is a standard cheap Order and a way to dominate a quadrant.
- Armbots: PanO-specific combat Remotes, come in two flavors:
- Bulleteer: MIM (-6), BS 12, Spitfire or Heavy Shotgun, Repeater, 17-23 pts. Bulleteers are known cheap killers. With Marksmanship supportware a Bulleteer is a sure way to clear out enemy TR Remote and other ARO pieces in a straight up gunfight. After you’ve paid premium for your awesome HI trooper, a Bulleteer is a good way to cover his flank. Definitely better with a Spitfire than a Shotgun.
- Peacemaker: Just like Bulleteer, comes with a Repeater and a Heavy Shotgun and Spitfire options. Loses ODD in favour of an Auxbot, making it a less straight-up aggressive bot, fit more for clearing out infiltrators. Much like Bulleteer, can be used to fill a blind spot, arguably better due to its two-in-one nature. For this role the Shotgun is preferable.
- Palbots: PanOceanian G: Servants. If you take Machinist or any of the Doctors they will usually need one.
Warband[edit]
Nothing NCA wants.
Skirmishers[edit]
- Locust, Clandestine Action Team: We're all Locusts now. An infiltrator with MIM (-6) and stealth. Breaker Rifle will make low-tech armies cry. Drop Bear profile is for mining up your opponent’s half of the table from relative safety. Marksman is just a straight up killer, worth considering in an awkward spot. Finally has a model, but only the HD profile.
