Oblivion Knight Cadre

The warrior knights of the Chamber of Oblivion are a martial elite sub-sect of the Silent Sisterhood selected both for their proven records as warriors, and most importantly, the strength of their ability as psychic Untouchables. Their service required against the most dangerous of foes, the Oblivion Knights are observed usually only in large-scale deployments such as the retrieval of alpha-level psykers, the quelling of major psyker-instigated uprisings or population purges, and as such are seen rarely by the mortal armies of the Imperium save for the direst of circumstances. The Cadre is made from four Oblivion Knights and one Oblivion Knight Mistress.

This, combined with the harrowing dread caused by the aura projected by the Sisterhood, gives the Oblivion Knights their profoundly sinister reputation among the Imperialis Auxilia and they have been deemed 'disruptive' by the Mechanicum. Even among the notoriously fearless Legiones Astartes, the pervading unease cultivated by the Oblivion Knights' presence is a palpable phenomenon. However one perforce tolerated as a necessary bane when the Oblivion Knights are temporally assigned to fight alongside the Space Marines against some powerful psychic menace.

Overview

All of them are armed with a Executioner's Greatblade/Neuro-Lash/Power Axe to make sure that even Terminators sweat bullets when near these bitches and wear the identifiable Vratine Armour as well as carrying a bunch of psyk-out, frag and krak grenades. To say nothing of the neverborn, as even Greater Daemons consistently show their terror of the Null Maidens and the danger of the true death being cut down by one of them promises, whereas the likes of Lesser Daemons will often flee outright or risk being unmade simply by their very presence. In terms of range weapons, they typically carry a simple Bolt Pistol, but they can swap it out for a Needle Pistol, Plasma Pistol, or a Hand Flamer. For non-lethal work, they can be armed with Snare Guns to subdue a target for future 'interrogations'.

Whilst this may cause some confusion as they would overlap with the Vigilator Cadres, the Oblivion Knights differ by both their ranks as elites, and the fact that they are only deployed on a large-scale in order to combat the threat of Alpha-Level Psykers. So essentially speaking, these are the Vigilator's bosses.

Oblivion Knights are recognizable due to their distinct helmet (Although Mistresses who may or may not be Oblivion Knights from the Vigilator Cadre also wear the same distinctive helmet) and skill in the battlefield. Oblivion Knights have the power to lead fellow members of the Silent Sisterhood is a Mistress is not present to command. The Oblivion Knights in turn, are often lead by the Oblivion Knight-Centura who they themselves are lead by the Knight-Commander of the Sisters of Silence. As aforementioned, their experience and Blank abilities caused unease among the Space Marine Legions. This unease is further exemplified during the battle of Prospero during the Horus Heresy which saw the effective use of Oblivion Knights against the psychic legions of the Thousand Sons.

Tl;dr even GeeDub's Franchise Mascot Mary Sues are scared shitless when near these ladies.

Crunch

On the tabletop in Horus Heresy, they are obviously the Elite among the Sisters of Silence, each comes with Ex Oblivio, Fanatic Discipline, and Precision Strikes. Each comes with Vratine Armor, cloaks that grant a 6++ Invuln or a 4++ against Templates and Blasts, Execution Blades, grenades, and Bolt Pistols. Everyone can replace their blades for Power Axes while the sergeant can buy a Neuro-Lash and replace her pistol with a Needle-Pistol, a Plasma Pistol, or a Hand Flamer.
