Reaver (Night Lords)

A paint scheme as awesome and difficult to complete as their management.

Not to be confused with Reaver nor the Sons of Horus Reaver Attack Squad

Reavers were Night Lords specialist infantry created during the Horus Heresy and function similarly to the much common Seeker Squad during the Great Crusade. But rather than being subtle, these guys were far more...overt.

Overview

These warriors were given orders by psycho batman himself, Konrad Curze, to reap a toll of blood and carnage upon a given region. Their activities were no careful campaigns of fear, but rather Angron-levels of wanton slaughter. Their symbol was a cross of bones and they answered to Night Lords commanders such as Nakrid Thole and Cel Herec. During the Heresy they often degraded into forming petty empires and warbands of their own.

Unfortunately, not much is known about them other than the fact that their "Shoot-to-Kill" behaviour was permanently switched on at all times. What is known is that they all seem to wear Mark VI: Corvus Armour, which is strange, since Corvus Armour is best served at being subtle. Not these guys. So it is unknown why they wore something that did not fit their behaviour characteristics.

But given of their reputation in squablling amongst each other even during the Heresy, it can be concluded that these guys were the 'rejects' that not even Curze could be assed to deal with. So he just sent them somewhere far off from his mission to terrorize the local population and LARP as mini-tyrants that will make Peter Turbo facepalm in second-hand embarrassment.
