Zorr Yenser was one of the Forge Lords of Mars who fought in the Great Crusade and sided with the Loyalists during the Hektor Heresy.
Zorr grew up in the great Tharsis Hive Cluster, under the shadow of the Temple of All Knowledge. The Yenser clan had long served as soldier-magoi in the armies of the Mechanicum and their homes held data on the many great victories their line had won. Such valour led to the Yensers being politically well-connected, with members in the retinue of Fabricator General Leton Tygian. With the passing of Leton and election of Valran Burija, Zorr was appointed to the personal bodyguard of the new Fabricator General. Though this post was an honourable one, it led Zorr Yenser to disgrace in Valran Burija's disastrous intervention into the Unification Wars.
The calamity of Burjia's Folly had a profound effect on Zorr Yenser. He believed that the Machine God could not have permitted a Fabricator General to fall by accident, nor for a small design. The only logical conclusion, in his mind, was that the Emperor must be the new coming of the Omnissiah. Despite ridicule for his part in the defeat and religious conversion, Yenser held firm to his beliefs. The appointment of Fabricator General Kalkas Tygian was a great boon, for although Zorr did not become a member of the new high priest's bodyguard he was called to serve Tygian after the Treaty of Mars. Yenser proved his loyalty and talent by seizing the defences of Urbis Juventas in the Battle of Hebes Chasma, but also showed his fanatical zeal by having the repentant citizens of the Forge City slaughtered lest they stray from the path of the Omnissiah once more.
Later, he fought alongside the Heralds of Hektor in the Parthorum Xenocide and played a particularly important part in Hektor Cincinnatus's victory at the Second Battle of Kopt Dara. However, this history did not divert Yenser from his faith and when the Autopostates rose in rebellion the Forge Lord stayed true to Kalkas Tygian. He served as a senior commander throughout the war on Mars and was the chief of the Mechanicum forces at the pivotal Siege of Olympus Mons.
