The book is carried by the Chief Librarian until his death, when it is passed to his successor.

Due to the sheer number of 'perceived' damning evidence it would put on the Dark Angels as it is basically a book that catalogues their deepest, darkest secrets. Conventional wisdom goes that the book would be securely stored within the deepest pits of [[The Rock]] right? Wrong! Ezekiel, [[Derp|''for some reason'']], really likes to bring his great big book of HERESY in whatever warzone the Dark Angels is fighting on.
