===Chapter History=== When the great Space Marine Legions were broken up in the Imperial Reformation, the Silver Cataphracts had already begun to make good on their losses of manpower from the brutal war against Hektor Cincinnatus's traitor legions. But their losses of equipment left them ragged. A partial solution during the Scouring had involved outfitting more of the Legion with attack bikes. These Marines were meant to be outriders, raiders, and scouts but preformed so well a specialist formation was made. Though unnamed, this dedicated formation of assault bikers would later be known by those they fought with as the Mechanist Warriors. Preferring not to break apart these excellent brothers, Sergei chose to keep them together in a Chapter named after their honorary title. A choice selection of Land Speeders, Rhinos, and Predator tanks were given as well to ensure the Warriors would not be without a strong backbone of armor to support their strikeout assaults. Driven as all Cataphract Successors, they became renowned throughout the Imperium in a short time due to their unrelenting, swift attacks against its enemies. 442.M33 Battle of Swirling Sands ----- A company of Mechanist Warriors descend on an outpost of the Harakien Eldar Empire. The target is a major supply depot, believed to be a preparation for new offensives against Imperial worlds. Despite their foes' reputation for speed, the Mechanist Warriors' assault leave the Eldar bewildered and hurting after several clashes. Imperial reinforcements arrive shortly after the stunning strike made by the Chapter. The plans of the Empire are halted thanks to the loss of manpower in the spectacular assault. Before any honors or ceremony can be arranged the Mechanist Warriors depart for new battlefields.
