===Heavy Infantry=== *'''Captain Qiang Gao, Invincibles Officer:''' When he's not off tanking Shasvastii as part of the crew of the Defiance, Qiang Gao provides an un-isolatable Lieutenant L2 with a Dam 16 HMG. *'''Dàofei Tactical Section:''' Infiltrating camouflage HI, who are also quite fast. These are expensive, but come with a bunch of useful profiles and make both sturdy midfield specialists and a great tool in an Alpha Strike. They pair well with Guilang, and are lynchpin units of Yu Jing's camo spam strategies. *'''Hac Tao Special Unit:''' The blackest of Yu Jing's Black Ops, when it's Situation Critical, Hac Tao are sent in to stabilize it. Ostensibly a counterpart to the Swiss Guard, Hac Tao pack a scary amount of 14s across their statline, heavier than heavy armor, and access to NCO. Sitting right at the peak of survivability, offensive power, and order efficiency, the Hac Tao NCO HMG is in the running for one of the best standard HMGs in the ''entire game''. Apropos of that, the Hac Tao missile launcher is one of those units who, if used correctly, wins you the game with a single missile. *'''Hsien Warriors:''' The Emperor's personal guard, pulled from the finest elite troops the Judicial Branch has to offer. They are fast, have excellent CC, 14s across the board, and sport MSV2. In addition, several profiles actually ''grant'' you SWC, allowing YJ lists to truly outgun their opponents. The HMG is a classic, but the Multi-Marksman Rifle carries a Tinbot to keep him safe from enemy hackers, while the Multirifle variant grants SWC and is a specialist on top of having Lt+1 Order. *'''Hulang Shocktroopers:''' Hulang are what you get when a monk decides to train a bunch of violent thugs and then sticks them in power armor: tough, hard-to-hit CC specialists with a scary array of short-range options. The Forward Deployment (+8") profiles give them a headstart on slicing through their opponents. Don't forget every profile is also a Specialist Operative and can accomplish mission objectives. *'''Haidao Special Support Group:''' Naval HI, the Haidao pack a wide variety of skills and specialist options to round out your list. All of the specialist profiles are great and the MSV2 Sniper is a very strong ARO piece for a great price. Be aware that Haidao are rather weedy for HI with PH11 and BTS0. *'''Imperial Agents, Crane Rank:''' Cranes are the elites, the echelon below the Hsiens but above the common ISS rank and file. Statistically, they're door kickers; outstanding in close combat, loaded with a pair of nanopulsers and mid-range weapons, with an X-visor to give them an edge beyond standard ranges. They also make strong hackers, as their superior resilience and WIP gives them an edge as specialists or troubleshooters. **'''Imperial Agent Adil Mehmut (Crane Rank Armor):''' Before humiliating himself during the Betrayal manga, Adil was a bird boy himself, although not a particularly outstanding one. He retains the skills of a standard Crane; Sensor, Triangulated Fire, Stealth, Courage, but in exchange for weaker CC and WIP, he gains a Monofilament CCW. He's also notably a Veteran Lt, and his loadout encourages you to take advantage of this by pushing him into close ranges where his Breaker Combi and Mono CCW can do their best work. *'''Jujak Regiment, Korean Shock Infantry:''' These guys are cheap, and come with a bunch of loadouts. While they are mostly good for being wildcards in White Banner you could take one as budget HI option in vanilla from time to time. *'''Liu Xing Jump Infantry:''' Superhero landing! Effectively flying Zuyong, Liu Xing have the always-entertaining Combat Jump (Explosion) skill, allowing them do deal out a DAM 12 template to anything they land near on a pretty reliable 14. Once they land, don't underestimate the damage an effective 2W 6-2 move BS 13 model can do to a backline. *'''Mowang Troops:''' "Walk softly and carry a big gun" -these guys, probably. Despite their bulk and toughness, Mowang Troops are stealthy NCO-driven bruisers. Mimetism (-3), 2 wounds + NWI and ARM 5 make them super tanky. Their weapons are optimized for softer targets, so aim for those. *'''Shang Ji Invincibles:''' Next-gen power armored line infantry, Shang Ji are excellent, albeit expensive units. Besides being faster than average, they pack some extra perks compared to other HI in the same bracket. They come with a variety of gunner and specialist options. Of special mention is the APHMG/Tinbot-6 profile. Affectionately known as Shang Jisus, it proves that a big ball of stats with good equipment is more valuable than stacking vis mods to win fights. *'''Sun Tze:''' N4's changes to Strategos notwithstanding, Sun Tze remains an incredibly difficult to kill character in an army that does VIP protection remarkably well. The positives end there: despite Total Immunity, he's still wearing heavy armor and isn't a Veteran, making him vulnerable to Isolation and completely circumventing his resilience. In addition, Strategos no longer prevents your opponent from retaining additional units during deployment, preventing you from counterdeploying. The bottom line: he doesn't provide enough benefit to justify his cost. *'''Sù-Jiàn Immediate Action Unit:''' Yu Jing's Transformer and the peak of YJ engineering, the dreaded Su Jian is the most conceptually frightening heavy infantry in ISS, and probably all of Yu Jing. You only need to look at the statline to realize the Su Jian is a cut above anything else; the fastest, most resilient unit available, loaded with weapons for all ranges. When piloted properly, a Su Jian will be able to find your opponent's weakest line and punch right through it without mercy. Its main weakness, like all of YJ's HI, is hacking; keep it away from enemy infowar and it will win your games outright. The Spitfire is a classic, but the Heavy Shotgun gives an enormous amount of short-ranged anti-armor power. *'''Wú Míng Assault Corps:''' Relatively cheap and simple HI. In YJ, they're notable for being inexpensive two-wound troopers who can protect your DZ or post up with panzerfausts or rocket launchers. *'''Yan Huo Invincibles, Fire Support Heavy Regiment:''' Yan Huo are here to do one thing, and that one thing is fire superiority. Each Yan Huo is armed with weaponry that's only otherwise seen on TAGs. Take into account that although they are bigger than most horses and weigh more than a LI Core fireteam, these guys don't have any form of Courage, visual modifiers or special equipment. They are tough and they shoot a lot of rounds, but that's it. Thankfully, that's often enough. *'''Zuyong Invincibles, Terra-cotta Soldiers:''' Basic, no-frills HI. Zuyongs are the baseline of what to expect out of Invincible Army HI: they are reliable, resilient and efficient (characteristics that they share with the sectorial as a whole). You can choose between 13 possible loadouts that cover everything from heavy weapons to specialists and fillers. Don't underestimate the B3 Breaker Pistols all Zuyong carry at close range. **'''Tai Sheng, Zuyong Invincibles NCO:''' Propaganda icon and poster child for the Invincible Army, Tai Sheng brings a WIP 14 NCO and is one of the best marksmen in Yu Jing with BS14 and some decent guns. She has a Chain of Command profile, making her one of the unusual troops who can use her own Lt order to power NCO. **'''Krit Kokram, Zuyong Invincibles Specialist:''' Former badboy Krit Kokram is our cheapest NCO and an engineer. Also notable for carrying three pistols. In N3 he was mediocre at best, an embarrassment at worst, but N4 gave him a massive glowup. A giant price cut and an extremely attractive FD8" profile sits him squarely in a comfortable niche as a midfield toolbox, capable of using your Lt's orders to secure objectives and go on the offensive with that artillery-sized shotgun he carries. He can be awkward to use, as no form of marker state or mimetism leaves him vulnerable, but if you can protect him, he can carry you to a win.
