== Diplomat == While for ten millenia diplomacy meant relationships between different human worlds or systems, with little to no attention paid to any outside fractions - with the sole exception of few human-settled worlds here and there, that were deemed worth of "convincing" to rejoin Imperium, rather than just being reconquered. However, with recent reshuffles on the political stage of the great galaxy, and success of alliance brokered by Lord Lucius in stopping threat of Schizmatics, Imperium decided that diplomats could be used as a useful distraction to bid time for rebuilding their strength. As of now, the Corpus Diplomaticus is mainly concerned with building buffor zone between Imperium and any potential threat. Their members, silver-tongued masters of negotiation and persuasion, had to come to terms with no longer having advantage of being backed by Imperial Guard Regiment, and returned to old and tried way of convincing others. ===== Bonus skill ranks: ===== * Convince * Empathy * Notice * Scholarship * Tempt ===== Quirks to choose from: ===== * Earn a Glory Point when you prove there is more to nobility than expensive clothes and attending court. * Earn a Glory Point when you turn the tide of violence with charm and flair. * Earn a Glory Point when you use knowledge from an obscure text to solve a complicated problem. * Earn a Glory Point when you take a great risk to uncover a secret. * Earn a Glory Point when you go out of your way to bridge the gap between two groups of people. * Earn a Glory Point when you ensure the stability of the Empire of Men. * Earn a Glory Point when you successfully solve a problem by convincing another character to listen to her conscience. * Earn a Glory Point when you use your position or money to bully another character into a course of action, and it gets you into trouble. * Earn a Glory Point when you win a diplomatic contest with a threat of violence.
