'''THE GRAND DAD EMPIRE''' ARE a prolific VINESAUCE-centric MEME group based in BEDROCK CITY.  Their largest periods of activity seemed to be around the time SILVAGUNNER was terminated, when they were hosting several unofficial VINESAUCE gaming events (which they assure you repeatedly are ''not'' official Tournaments and are in no way affiliated with JOEL).

They operated out of the SilvaGunner YouTube channel until it was terminated in 2014, after which they appear to have transitioned briefly to GiivaSunner in September of 2016 before returning to SilvaGunner in June of 2018.

The VINESAUCE MEME events that The GRAND DAD EMPIRE held were known for being diverse and involved, due in large part to their incredibly strong YTP sceneThese events would involve VINESAUCE-branded fan-made HIGH-QUALITY RIPS for SONGS that wouldn't exist for nearly a decade, and some that still don't!  They also hosted some of the first KING FOR ANOTHER DAY tournaments, with fan HIGH-QUALITY RIPS.

The Infernals are a Codex-divergent Second Founding Chapter, sired by Gaspard Lumey's Fifth Legion. A terrible flaw in their gene-seed, activated during The Beast's vast invasion of the Imperium, is causing the chapter to descend into berserk rages - and many fear that it is close to falling to Chaos. For much of their history they have been directed at greenskin threats where their fury can be spent productively.

Chapter History[edit | edit source]

It was not always so for the Infernals. At their founding, they were considered as highly as all of the Void Angels' successors, proven in the Great Crusade and the Scouring. Settled on the picturesque Feral World, Chauvet, the Chapter was intended to shore up Imperial defences near the Halo Stars without offending the sensibilities of the Dolsene Rifles. For centuries, the Infernals fulfilled their mission with honour, confronting the xenos threats at the edge of the galaxy.

All that came to an end with WAAAGH! The Beast. In 545.M32, the green tide descended upon Chauvet and the Infernals' honour demanded that they defend their home to the last. Years later, as the battered Imperium rolled back the slain Beast's hordes, the 48th Dolsene Rifles landed on Chauvet to reclaim the remains of the Infernals. Even these hardened soldiers were shocked to find that the sons of Gaspard Lumey had endured - though they were forever changed. Only fifty-three of the Chapter had survived the fighting against the Orks, and the years of warfare had demanded that they set aside the refinement and civilisation of their gene-sire.

Although the Infernals now lived only for war, they had not lost all reason. They abandoned ruined Chauvet and travelled the reaches, slowly recruiting and rebuilding their strength. Twenty years after their near destruction, the Chapter could field two companies and could no longer restrain themselves. They plunged headlong into a bloody eternity of revenge, seeking little more than to end ork lives.

Notable members[edit | edit source]

  • Captain Ian Cimmer Cimmer was only a youth when the Orks came to Chauvet, still aspiring to join the ranks of the Infernals. His training become deadly earnest as the Chapter's life-and-death struggle raged, but unlike the rest of the aspirants he thrived from the difficulty. Short on words, he was known for his smoldering blue eyes and extraordinary physical prowess. Apart from the Primarchs, few Astartes had ever been so strong, agile and sturdy. By the end of the war on Chauvet, Cimmer was a "sergeant" of Infernals, leading battle brothers many decades his senior. He would soon rise to "captain" - though chief would perhaps be more accurate.

Chapter Combat Doctrine[edit | edit source]

They favour power weapons and thunder hammers, with the assault cannon and heavy bolters also prominent in the Chapter arsenal. The Infernals have no use for subtlety and little for planning. All they want is a brutal fight, and their preferred opponents are glad to give it to them.

The conventional Space Marine organisation has been all but lost to these debased warriors. While they still refer to their groupings as squads and companies, there is no regimentation to their numbers and a squad may number anywhere from four to twenty-five Marines. Equipment is similarly varied and it is not uncommon to see a squad featuring a mix of armours and weaponry - although few Infernals take the field without a close combat weapon.
