Red Butcher

What's worse than a Khornate Berserker? One that is wearing Terminator Armour.

Red Butchers are basically the Terminator versions of Rampagers formed during the Horus Heresy. They were in theory, what the Devourers should have been.

Overview

During the Battle of Isstvan III many World Eaters went completely berserk with rage and bloodlust and only left the battlefield in chains. The Techmarines of the World Eaters later made customized suits of Terminator Armour to serve as both wargear and a means of confinement. These suits were, in effect, mechanical prison cells that could be immobilized with the press of a button.

The Red Butchers were unleashed for the first time during the Dropsite Massacre. Few survived the engagement, but they nonetheless RIP AND TEAR through loyalist formations a new asshole. Moreover, World Eaters that went completely batshit bonkers in later battles could be imprisoned within recovered suits.

The Red Butchers were adorned in heavily modified Cataphractii Pattern Terminator Armour that bears more resemblance to the Tartaros Pattern, and are armed with twin power axes or lightning claws. The squad leader, known as The Devoured often had two chainfists.

It is unknown what their fate is after the Heresy, given the proverbial splintering of the World Eaters legion soon after.

Crunch

Cataphractii Terminators with paired weapons for a LOT of attacks. These guys start with two attacks base, paired Power Axes (+1 attack), and Legiones Astartes (World Eaters) gives them a bonus one when charging. With Hatred (Everything) for five re-rollable attacks total each on the charge, six if they spring for paired Lightning Claws. Needless to say, taking Combi-Bolters is monumentally stupid; it wasn't a good weapon to begin with and this is a BS3 model, while you're giving up 1 attack from losing the 2-weapon bonus.
