Aldinach

One of two daughters of Lamashtu who went on to achieve the title of Demon Prince in their own right, Aldinach is the Demon Queen of Sand, Scorpions and Thirst, appearing as an immense scorpion with razor-edged claws and a hideously human face, her back always covered in countless teeming swarms of fiendish scorpions.

Known to her faithful as She of the Six Venoms, Aldinach is a Demon Queen whose worship is mostly restricted to the deserts and other dry, barren, arid regions, although she might have some scorpion cults in jungles and forests where those venomous creatures proliferate. Symbolized by a golden scorpion with poison dripping from its claws, her daily worship requires laying prone in sand for an hour whilst praying to her, a ritual punctuated by the consumption of at least one live scorpion. In return for this, she grants protection from vermin venom and from fatigue & exhaustion. As boons, she can grant spell-like abilities of Endure Elements, Glitterdust and Searing Light, the power to temporarily transmute a corpse into a living fiendish giant scorpion, and the ability to inflict intense dehydration with an attack.

Aldinach is most well-known for her biter rivalry with her half-sister Areshkagal, a rivalry that has grown all the more intense since Aldinach stole the Sea of Whispering Sands from her sibling and claimed it as her own Abyssal kingdom.
