Weird Westerns are an obscure Setting Aesthetics that you get by mixing the classic Wild West setting with Fantasy and/or Horror elements. Gunslinging revenants, Yog-Sothothery out in the boom-towns, train-riding vampires, cardshuffling warlocks, all that sort of good stuff. With the decline of the western, Weird Westerns have faded deep into obscurity, but they still cling on.

Two of the most prominent /tg/ examples of Weird Westerns are Deadlands, which is a Weird Western mixed with Cattlepunk and Screampunk elements, and Spellslinger, a rare example of the Wild West ported into a Dungeons & Dragons setting instead of a Wild Western Historical Fantasy.
