Brigantia the Rivermaid is the Celtic goddess of rivers and livestock.

Personality

The Rivermaid is a peaceful and relaxed goddess, spending much of her time tending animals, even when more pressing matters are brought to her. She enjoys the simple life and joys of the countryside and its people, never appearing in large towns and cities.

Appearance

Brigantia appears as a young, beautiful woman wearing a crown, sitting atop a globe. In times of war she wears a breastplate and carries a spear.

Worshippers

Brigantia's clerics and druids work to spread the bounty of their goddess across the land. They carry with them two clay jars containing blessed river water, that can cleanse tainted water, and literal holy shit, to be used as fertilizer, respectively. When used together, they can heal wounds and sickness... somehow.

In Ravenloft, Brigantia, like most of the other Celtic deities, are known and worshipped in Forlorn and Tepest.

In Forlorn, the non-druidic Forfarians mostly worship Brigantia, knowing her as a triune goddess of blacksmithing, motherhood, and livestock

The Tepestani know Brigantia as the consort of the supreme god Belenus, and sister to Manannan mac Lir. She's the goddess of wild nature and beasts, but also the goddess of fields and domesticated animals who blesses the hardworking artisans.
