Drakwald is a former province of The Empire that was located in a great forest of the same name between Middenland and Nordland. It was the first Imperial county to be destroyed, although under highly unclear circumstanses. After the last Count died, the Runefang was sent to the Emperor Boris Goldgather, who for some reason decided to not make a claim for a title, despite being a Drakwalder by birth. Also you have to consider that having your own province is kinda better because instead of trying to manipulate arrogant Count assholes you get your own lands where you are the only feudal ruler. After that it was slowly destroyed by Beastmen and Goblins and finally divided between Nordland and Middenland three hundred years later.
