The Knights Stellaris are the XVth Legion lead by their primarch, Solomon "Dawntreader" Tyrus. The legion is known for its knightly virtues and use of dreadknights and gravtanks that makes them stand out from the rest of their brothers. It was this legion that would lose their primarch in the Brotherwar fighting for the Imperium.
History
Pre-Primarch History
The history of the XVth legion dates back to the later part of the Unification Wars and later battles in the Sol System. On Terra, the XVth Legion fought as a support force with other legions during this time. Fighting against dirty and bloody techno-barbarians that still fought against the will and authority of the Emperor. However, despite these actions, they would defend the Emperor's land and citizens against this same techno-barbarian hordes. The legions that fought with and helped were the XIVth and the Ist. It is with these two legions that would help the XVth legion in their battles of conquest and liberation in the Great Crusade until they would finally meet their primarch on the planet of Avalon. They gained the reputation as defenders of the innocent and the realm from these early days.
