Goddamn, why do all these armored cars look so cute?

The wheeled Yin to the CVRT's tracked Yang; the Fox is, well, a Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle (Wheeled) instead of a Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle (Tracked). Faster (it could reach over 100 kph), lighter and somewhat cheaper, it wasn't a bad vehicle; but ultimately proved to be a one-trick lil' pony compared to his much more adaptable and adapted cousin; and only saw little use.

What to say about this one? It is basically a Scimitar on wheels: same (shortcomings in) firepower, faster but with slightly less armor. Their Skill is also lower to represent the fact that the Queen's Own Yeomanry is a reserve squadron made up of volunteers rather than full-time soldiers.

Anything said about the Scimitar applies to the Fox as well: should you opt to take them, their 30mm gun is very good at forcing bails on opposing light vehicles and can even threaten a MBT should the Fox manage to flank it.

During and after WWII, the Brits were big on using fast, lightly armored cars as recce. It was a tactic they'd gotten a lot of mileage out of in North Africa, raiding anything the enemy left lightly guarded and generally being a much bigger nuisance than a jeep with a machine gun has any rights to be.

The venerable Daimler 'Dingo' and its successor, the 'Ferret' saw fruitful service all over the world until after the Vietnam War. So, during the sixties, when the Ferret started showing its age, the Brits were keen on developping a successor. Enters the Fox: lightweight, fast, air-droppable and equipped with the RARDEN 30mm cannon allowing it to punch way harder than you'd expect from such a small car.

Sadly for the Fox, evolutions in materiel and doctrine had changed the rules of the game in the meantime; and the hour of the missile carriers was at hand, only worsened by the fact that its 30mm gun, while powerful, was limited to six shots per reload, as it fed not from a belt but from two stripper clips loaded into the weapon. Worse yet, where the CVR(T) could easily be retrofitted/modified to allow for a SAM/ATGM launcher to be carried/equipped, the Fox could not. Hence, it only saw a limited production run that outfitted the British Volunteer's Reserve.
