The unit overview and tactica for Dahshat Company

Why Play Dhashat[edit | edit source]

Maybe you got some Haqqislam and Yu Jing leftovers from Red Veil? now you can put those Ghulam, Al Fasid, Zhuyong and even your Zhanshi as bounty hunters to work.

Faction features[edit | edit source]

Flexibility and Synergy[edit | edit source]

So while many Dahshat units aren’t as straightforward or as strong, they usually have good flexibility that a sharp player can use to his advantage. It combines good all around Light infantry with strong Heavy Infantry, making every one of those more efficient by allowing flexible fireteams with several wildcards. Also your skirmishers are plenty and cheap allowing you to expend them in mid control to blunt an opponents advance.

Special Skills[edit | edit source]

  • Wildcard Every Bounty Hunter is a wildcard, including the characters so you can round fireteams with special weapons like Viral Rifles, Monofilament Swords, Red Fury, Akrylat-Kanone or cheap multipurpose troopers.
  • Tactical Awareness Available to Zuyong Invincibles it will make your list have more orders than models.

Weapons and Equipment[edit | edit source]

  • Holoprojectors Bashi Bazouks and Lu Duan give access to this versatile piece of equipment.
  • Viral Rifle Sforza brings a linkable viral rifle on a BS 13 platform, with a X-visor.
  • SMG Plenty of these, allowing you to punish NWI and Dogged troopers with Shock Ammo.
  • Red Fury On a Sensor Bot or Wildcard trooper, can use triangulated fire or a 3-man fireteam to really shine above with shock ammunition.
  • Multiespectral Visor The Brawler MSR and the Rui Shi makes great active turn pieces to hunt down ODD or TO Cammo troopers.
  • Booty Remember to allways roll for every ABH, you never know when you will get a Free MSR!.

Units[edit | edit source]

Light Infantry[edit | edit source]

  • Ghulam Infantry: The Ghulam Infantry is the basic trooper of the Haqqislam nation. However, compared to most other factions, the Ghulam have a wide selection of loadouts including multiple Lieutenant options. The most notable are the Doctor Plus and the Forward Observer. Both are WIP14 specialists. The Doctor can confidently patch up unconscious troopers on a WIP17, and the Forward Observer can fire his Flash Pulse at WIP14, one of your only best options for LT because of WIP 14.
  • Najjarun Engineers: Najjaruns are basic like Ghulam with the Engineer skill and V:Courage. If you need a Engineer on a points budget, he's your man.
  • Odalisques: Odalisques are beautiful female bodyguards. They come standard with a 360 Visor or Sixth Sense L2. V:No Wound Incapacitation makes then hard to put down, and they can even be used to tie up enemies in close combat thanks to i-Khol L3. All this means they are great at watching over corners, flanking positions, and short fire lanes. Perfect bodyguards, also they can be used to allow a Haris of Bounty Hunters.
  • Bashi Bazouks: Bashi Bazouks are great at disrupting the enemy. However, they offer a different attack vector thanks to AD: Parachutist and an interesting array of weapons. All that plus Holoprojector L2. The Bashi Bazouk are irregular but crazy cheap, and offers a unique combination of skills. The standout profiles are the SMG/chain colt variant at 12p or Combi/E-Mauler to drop Maulers way back in your opponents half of the table.
  • Authorized Bounty Hunters: As Wildcards they are the ones to allow 5-man fireteams, all regulars and with the new SMG/Akrylat-Kannonen yuu cant go wrong.
  • Miranda Ashcroft, Registered Bounty Hunter: ODD is not a common equipment and also equiped for melee, but as a wildcard Specialist Operative, she can your 5th man on any fireteam.
  • Father Lucien Sforza, Registered Bounty Hunter: The big appeal here is the holoechoes that can be used to sweep mines as well as the powerful Viral Rifle to deal with heavy targets. If you are into mind games you can also disguise him as an unassuming and exposed short range trooper like an SMG ABH only to reveal a Viral Rifle or Adhesive Launcher with X-Visor! It also has a FTO Profile with Holo 1 and wildcard to give more deadly firepower to any link.
  • Valerya Gromoz, Mercenary Hacker: An inexpensive WIP 14 multipurpose Hacker. Comes with a Pitcher. With Wildcard it is worth considering as your specialist for a Zuyong Fireteam to take advantage of their Tinbot Deflector L2. If you just want to unlock remotes, a Brawler AHD is enough.
  • Brawlers, Mercenary Enforcers: With just AVA 4 they will need a wildcard to form a 5-man fireteam, here an Spitfire or Red Fury ABH can provide some much needed firepower. The AHD, Doctor and Engineer Profiles are good enough specialists, but what you really want from them is the MSR with MSV2 to take some pot shots on a defensive link.
  • Libertos Freedom Fighters: Here we get two Dahshat-only profiles with Mimetism for just a point over the normal profiles, as irregular, forward deployment camo units, they complement your Hunzakuts and Zencha in the camo shell game, use that dogged state to make them suicidal runs with their chain colts or mid control with their AP-mines and minelayer.
  • 112, Emergency Service: The basic Doctor option. 112s have V:Courage that stand him appart from other docs, can go around in a bike and use the help of a G:Servant, easing his life.
  • Dozers, Field Engineers:Gatekeeper of the Traktor Mul. If you aren't feeling that sort of game then they have the Akrylat-Kanone, an adhesive gun with bonkers range. They can get a G:Servant (or up to four)
  • Warcor: Cheap and Irregular 3pt Flash Pulse dude with WIP13. Take them if you got a few points left over. Don't underestimate how useful they are as an ARO piece.

Heavy Infantry[edit | edit source]

  • Al Fasid Regiment: The Fasid are a very toolbox HI. It has Veteran L1, Minelayer with Antipersonnel Mines, and SSL1 in it's profile. There are only two options: HMG+LGL with both Normal and Smoke Grenades, or HRL and SMG. Fasids are able to dish out and take punishment as well as securing the deployment zone with Minelayer. The HMG option can provide Smoke Coverage and/or Speculative Fire; The HRL profile provides nice long ranged template with a deadly SMG for close ranged gunfighting. Fasids also stay Regular in Loss of Lieutenant and has that little extra security for when enemies get too close. The Al Fasid does pay for all the extra gear and skills making him the most expensive HI in the Haqqislam army, but it's hard for him to not make his points back through utility alone.
  • Zhēnchá, Armored Reconnaissance Regiment: Camo infiltrator with 2W... Oh wait, they have NWI but get blown up by Shock ammo. Anyway, they are button pushers with Climbing Plus, which is a nice combo. The SMG, FO and Antipersonel Mines profile is probably the best (and the cheapest), and has one of the few Assault Hacking Devices on the list.
  • Húláng Shocktroopers:This Oniwaban/Shikami lovechild packs some exotic weaponry including a Monofilament CC weapon, E/M grenades and LFT; use them aggressively and they will go down swinging. They do a lot but they are also expensive, so you need to make it count. Not having marker state makes their close range weapons worse, but having Forward Deployment L2 helps overcome that deficit (plus, thay can touch buttons as well). Remember your Engage range is larger with Kinematika L2. Mimetism and NWI + Shock Immunity makes them resilient as well.
  • Zuyong Invincible: Solid, relatively cheap HI. They are at it's best when linked, and can carry a Rui Shi. They’re no frills BS 13 HI, with slightly worse stats than most other factions’ HI, but at a cheaper price and with a wide variety of equipment options. The Zuyong HMG lieutenant (automedikit) is a popular choice due to the SWC reduction. They also come with a pair of breaker pistols, so popping around corners is not much of a problem for these HMGs as they might be with other units. Also, two profiles with tactical awareness the amazing haris one wich also carries a Deflector L2 Tinbot and the HMG makes a Haris of this guys a good, efficient team.

Tactical Armoured Gear[edit | edit source]

  • Maghariba Guard: The one and only TAG in Dahshat, the Maghariba Guard is a formidable and inexpensive TAG. She also carries the faction's only Multi HMG as well as being the only TAG in the game with S8 and a 360 Visor option. Be sure to field an engineer to make field repairs. Heavy Pistols: This gives the Maghariba dice to throw in short range to make up for the HMGs penalties. Heavy Flamethrower: The HFT is the most favored because it offers more versatility. HFT works better against camo/ODD troopers than pistols. This TAG is a steal at only 78pts and 2swc. 360 Visor: With the massive sihouette attribute, Multi HMG, and HFT, the 360 Visor adds an all seeing eye to the already strong TAG. Run the TAG up midfield and drop into Suppression Fire turning this TAG into the ultimate turret. The drawback is that this 360 Visor TAG costs 20pts more (98pts and 2swc). Duo Maghariba are not recomended, but with so many wildcards, you can get Valeria Gromoz to guard your TAG from Hacking or Miranda Ashcroft from Melee.
  • Maghariba Pilot: She has a Light Shotgun and a Paramedic specialist. Though she's not a full fledged doctor, the pilot can still be used for last ditch objective runs

Remotes[edit | edit source]

Dahshat remotes is a mix of Haqqislam and Yu Jing Remotes, but also Ariadnan ones, giving you AVA 4 on baggage REMs.

  • Basic REMs
    • Rafiq: They are standard FO, Sensor Sat-Lock toolbox REM with the exception that they get the Rifle+LSG instead of classic combi which is a plus, also the option for a Red Fury, wich makes Triangulated Fire and Discover + Shot terrifying for camo troops. Finally it can link with a Maghariba, but you can get your wildcards to replace any of them as they both got profiles with Duo.
    • Shihab: Standard 360 Visor TR REM with HMG
    • Shaytaniyah: Standard Smart Missile Launcher REM.
    • Fanous: Standard Flash Pulse bot
    • Kameels: Standard Baggage REMs with an EVO Hacker option.
  • Nasmat: Considering the high WIP of Haqqislam Doctors and Engineers, a Nasmat is a perfect way to keep them safe from harm and extend their range.
  • Yaoxie Lu Duan: S4 Holoprojector L2, MSV1, Mk12, heavy flamethrower. These offer a big punch for a relatively modest price
  • Yaoxie Rui Shi: 6-4 MSV2 spitfire REM for 20 points. Combine with Assist Fire hacking program for cover/camo-ignoring shock spitfire. Carries a repeater as an added bonus and can Link with Zuyongs.

Skirmishers[edit | edit source]

  • Hunzakuts: Irregular, which makes them inexpensive. At their price-point they are excellent Camo Infiltrator and they all come with Antipersonnel Mines. The Forward Observer benefits from Haqqislam's strong WIP14 for either Objective grabbing or Flash Pulse and the classic Haqq Rifle+LSG combo as armaments. No other infiltrating unit have Deployable Repeaters, so if you want to extend your hackers' influence, Hunzakuts can easily plant Repeaters further up the board. The Light Grenade Launcher option is also pretty solid, because she can deploy further up the board and Speculative Fire. It's possible to impose a -6MOD with Suprise Shot L1 and dodging templates without LoF. The sniper-profile is questionable in its use with it's low BS
  • Saito Togan Mercenary Ninja.:Saito is a TO Infiltrating ninja mercenary. he wields an EXP CCW and has only regular Infiltration rather than Superior (so he successfully infiltrates into the opponent's half on a 10). However, he's still very capable in close combat and even brings his own Smoke Grenades.

Warbands[edit | edit source]

  • Kum Motorized Troop: The Kum Bikers are a dirt cheap warband mainly used for smoke coverage and alpha strikes. All Kum Bikers come with Smoke Grenades and Smoke Light Grenade Launcher, V:Dogged, and a Motorcycle. The most popular is the basic 10pt option with a Chain Rifle - great for aggressive alpha striking groups of enemies like fireteams. Also don't be afraid to drive your bike into the enemy w/o investing orders in attacks. While their high CC means they will never miss, they lack the Martial Arts. This means they don't have assorted bonuses to turn a low roll into a pretty high roll. What all that means is that a Kum Biker still has a good chance of getting his teeth kicked in. Consider forcing your opponent use their orders to gamble instead. Your cheapo 10 point Kum can easily force 2-3 orders out of someone twice his cost. Bonus points if you actually kill them. Rifle Kum is MAXIMUM UNSEXY but allows you to quickly place some deep Suppressive Fire safer due to Smoke Grenade Dodge.
  • McMurrough Mercenary Dog-Warrior.:In all of this, you are probably thinking to yourself, "Well shit, seems like there isn't really anyone that can tackle the tougher challenges that infinity has to offer." Things like outshooting Usnagi when she has a 5-link. Things like killing the Avatar. Things like... Bitch-slapping Achilles in a melee fight. Here, I assure you, is your answer to that last one. The others, you are on your own. McMurrough is an S6 dog warrior with one heck of a punch. He's the kilt-wearing sonovabitch that got your girlfriend addicted to looking at dog dicks. Long range, he's not that great. In fact, he's shit at long range. But if you let him anywhere near your models, you better hang on. 2 Chain rifles, the usual for a Dog-warrior, higher armor, a better CCW, grenades. But is all that worth the extra 10 pts or so? That's up to you and how your list works. Edit: He isn't called McMurderface for no reason.
