Lask
Lask are a minor humanoid race native to the Dungeons & Dragons setting of Dark Sun. First seen in the form of a single "sunwarped" mutant in the Prism Pentad novels, they were expanded by Dark Sun's fans into a fully playable race in "Terrors of Athas", the fan-made Monster Manual for Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition. Unfortunately, like the Magera, they are a rather redundant race with no real background lore to speak of, so they're kind of dull.
Physically, lasks look something like a lizardfolk; they have the general appearance of a tall, muscular bipedal humanoid, with a mottled grey-and-orange hide, but their flat, hairless head sports a reptilian muzzle with fangs that curve inward like an insects pincers, and a ring of tiny golden horns crowning their pate. Culturally, very little distinguishes them; they are a newly emergent race who often either fall in with desert tribes (especially bandits), or are captured and dragged into the gladiator pits of the city-states. They're characterized as violent, opportunistic and cunning, usually acting as the muscle but not to be mistaken for mere dumb brutes.
