Lastai is the demigoddess of love, pleasure, and passion, introduced in the Book of Exalted Deeds. She's the sister of Chaav.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Lastai is depicted as a beautiful, voluptuous woman.
Worshippers[edit | edit source]
Lastai's followers are often wise when it comes to sensual pleasures, and they partake in pleasure without overindulging in it, eating without gluttony, rest without sloth, and so on. Her clerics act as councel for lovers and couples, and perform wedding ceremonies. Though they pursue pleasure in their own lives, it's secondary to helping others find pleasure and love in their lives. Of course, due to the nature of her religion, some view her faith and practices as immoral, while the followers say that sexuality is something to be properly enjoyed, not repressed. Most likely unintentional by the writer, but this synchronizes well with the real life Philosophy of Epicureanism.
