Linara, the Eye of Night, is the personification of the moon, whose domains are symbolically linked to the moon. She's married to Solqus, the personification of the sun. She was introduces in Issue #340 of Dragon Magazine.
The faith[edit | edit source]
The Church of Linara believes that Linara is helping her follwers by assisting them in adapting to a world without the sun. That she brings light to darkness, provides guidance in the form of prophecy, calms those who are afraid, strengthens those who are weak, promotes learning, and encourages emotion to be embraced as a powerful force that can change the world for better.
Those who are against the church and/or the goddess aren't treated as enemies, only as misguided, as they haven't seen the light of her wisdom. The principles of "acceptance of all" and "working for the betterment of all" are the guiding ideals of her church.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Linara is depicted as a full-bodied, middle-aged human, with a matronly, caring face. She wears blue and silver robes, and carries a dagger in one hand, and a scroll in another. She's also depicted as a silver or blue dragon, or as a Will-o-Wisp.
