Ogrillons are a hybrid humnaoid race from the early days of Dungeons & Dragons. Half-Orc and Half-Ogre, they are the counterparts of the Orogs, being what happens when you breed a male ogre to a female orc instead of the other way around. They debuted in the Fiend Folio, and were distinguished primarily by their skin, which sported prominent horny growths of bone. These gave them natural armor, and also formed dense, sharp growths on their hands which combined with their superhuman strength made them more than capable of beating the average armored human fighter to death with their bare hands, despite only being the size of a regular orc (though 1 in 10 would have noticeably ogre-like facial features and coloration).

They were established as being dimwitted, vicious and bloodthirsty, even by orc standards; fortunately, they're sterile, so they're kept relatively rare... well, as rare as anything coming out of an orc womb can be! Orcs often hire them as mercenaries, taking advantage of the ogrillon's love of fighting and mayhem, and the fact they can be bribed with shiny gold coins. Nobody knows why they like gold coins when they largely seem oblivious to treasure otherwise; many believe they instinctively view them as lucky.
