Phieran is the demigod of suffering, endureance, and perseverance, introduced in the Book of Exalted Deeds. He's pretty much just Ilmater with the serial numbers filed off.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Phieran is depicted as a strong man who has been broken and twisted on a rack, leaving him limp and covered with scars.
Worshippers[edit | edit source]
Phieran's faithful are mostly composed of the poor, particularily those who have it the worst among them. He's most often called by those who are undergoing any great pain, from mothers giving birth to victims of torture. His clerics are martyrs in the best possible sense, willing to always help and take the burdens of others on themselves. They are mainly found working and ministering among the poor and in prisons.
