Society of the Locked Door

The Society of the Locked Door or SLD is a very minor Planescape sect that have made it their mission to permanently close every portal in Sigil, believing that the city has been polluted by the Clueless primes and planars that regularly arrive through these planar gates. Of course, with Sigil being the "City of Doors", they have their work cut out for them. Their leader is a human man named Cuth Banthor.
The SLD seems partly inspired by real world nativist and anti-immigration movements from history.
The Society appears in the adventure module Doors to the Unknown, where they have recently stepped up their tactics from mundane stuff like rallies, picket lines and handing out leaflets, to violent acts of terrorism, sabotage, and assassination. They end up attacking the party not because the PCs actually oppose them, but because the fanatics of the SLD are extremely paranoid and the PCs end up loitering too close to their secret hideout. They also attempt to assassinate an NPC that the party goes to for information. Later, near the end of the module, the Society becomes unwitting lackeys of the BBEG.
Despite having the same goal of closing all of Sigil's portals, the Society of the Locked Door is not mentioned as being affiliated with The Grixitt.
