Also known as SFG. A UK company that edits lots of licensed board games and roleplaying games, as well as series of unpainted minifigures provided with 5e rules.

About their minifigures[edit | edit source]

They're nice. For example, the Epic Encounters boxsets have around a dozen minis - or one bigass boss mini - packaged with a foldout map and a one-shot adventure booklet with stat blocks, priced at around 50 USD.

There's also a series of adventuring cats and dogs if you want to play a Chihuahua Rogue.

Their minifigures are sold unprimed, so get those spraycans.

About their games[edit | edit source]

They're unfinished pieces of shit who cash in on existing licenses.

Why they suck[edit | edit source]

A big part of the SFG business model is based on Kickstarter. They launch numerous kickstarters based on big video game licenses, such as a Resident Evil boardgame or Dark Souls RPG. Said projects get financed to hell and back, but the final product ships with unplayable rules and typos. No one cares, since SFG got the money upfront so took no risks, and customers who bought on a Horizon Zero Dawn boardgame have no overlap with those interested in the Pac-Man card game, so no one is informed. Finally, most of these games are bought but not necessarily played, as they are aquired by vidya collectors who just amass every piece of plastic with "Resident Evil" written on it.
