Talos

Talos was in Greek mythology, a giant bronze automaton whose duty was to protect Europa in Crete from kidnappers or suitors. He possessed enough strength to launch boulders miles away at any ship that dared approach Crete, he possessed a single long vein, from his neck to his ankle with a single nail keeping it closed. In some versions of the myth, Medea was able to hypnotize/drive him mad with magic to make him tear the nail out and lose his ichor like a fa/tg/uy loses spaghetti from his pockets. In others, Jason was able to combat and fight Talos, tearing out the nail himself. Across all myths, Talos circled the island three times a day, and his bronze skin was blazing hot.
The most famous depiction of Talos comes from the film Jason and the Golden fleece, brought to beautiful life by the great Ray Harryhausen.
