Not to be confused with Tankred, the badass Black Templar who endures.
Tancred, Duc de Quenelles is one of the fairly large assortment of special characters for Bretonnia that appeared in Warhammer 5th edition and in a White Dwarf article for 6th edition.
He is mostly characterized as the Bretonnian archenemy of Heinrich Kemmler, the Lichemaster, and has even received special magical gear from the King of Bretonnia to aid him in his ongoing personal crusade to hunt down and destroy the undead. Eventually however he was killed by Kemmler in 2495 when his followers abandoned him, and his reanimated corpse was sent back to say hello to the king.
Tancred II[edit | edit source]
Tancred's son, Tancred II was a mighty Grail Knight and duke of Quennelles who took over soon after and slayed the Wight King, Krell, the right hand man of Heinrich Kemmler, the news of his heroics made even the Dwarfs respect him as Krell had several articles in the Great Book of Grudges. At one point Tancred II had managed to "slay" Kemmler but it was proven wrong when he returned to slay him back in the End Times alongside Krell.
Over time Tancred II began to age and had 4 children, although all of them ended up being alcoholic failures or dying in their quests, which greatly demoralized him.
