The Post-Apocalyptic Roadmap/North Dakota

Part of the Post-Apocalyptic Roadmap Project.

Due to the existence of (supposedly) formerly-used nuclear weapons silos near the cities of Grand Forks and Fargo, the eastern border of North Dakota received a direct strike, rendering the eastern border of North Dakota lifeless. In an effort to limit the retaliatory power of the American continent, nuclear strikes also render the oil fields of western North Dakota into radioactive wasteland punctuated by burning oil wells.

In short, North Dakota is fucked.
