The M8 Light Armored Car, (Called the Greyhound by the Brits, Official US sources never called it that.) was a reconnaissance and infantry support vehicle operated by the Allies, principaly the United States and Great Britain. In terms of On-road mobility there was nothing that could beat it, it operated somewhat unreliable in off-road conditions and especially in forests where its large turn radius made it easy to get stuck between trees. However it proved to be a effective support vehicle for advancing infantry and served as the basis of some Cold War IFVs.
