The first line of disposable meatshields.

Greenhorns are a type of ganger within House Orlock and the absolute noobs in Underhive gang culture.

Overview[edit]

As Green as Grass as they say. Greenhorns are new and juvenile members of the gangs, looking to prove their worth. There is always a steady supply of Greenhorns signing up for the gangs, eager to step up from disposable menial serfs to disposable meatshields productive members of House Orlock.

Due to being a bunch of chumps, Greenhorns aren't really spec'd-out in terms of flashy weapons and equipment. Nevertheless, they are still better protected than most gangers, as even a Greenhorn wears segments of Imperial Mesh Armour on their shoulders, shins and vambrace. Only House Van Saar and arguably House Delaque have better stuff than they do. In terms of weapons, it is the simple ones such as a Stub Gun, Fighting Knife, and a Flail.

Crunch[edit]

On Necromunda, these guys are not good for much besides absorbing bullets, and the Greenhorn is worse than most despite their better armour. For some reason, Greenhorns can’t gain any skills. Now, this honestly isn’t a huge nerf: skills will only get a juve so far in life. You’ll probably be spending your upgrades on stats, first. It is just a weird rule to get used to it. Never expect juves to do anything worthwhile, so keep yours cheap if you plan on taking any at all.
