A Gunner rocking that classic bikie look.

Gunners are a type of ganger within House Orlock and the crème de la crème of generic Necromundan footsoldiers.

Overview[edit]

Gunners are the bulk of House Orlock gangs and act as its foot soldiers. These are hive-hardened men and women with a rebellious streak a mile wide. Most often they are drawn up from the Drudges, where they never really fit in among work crews and mining towns, the gangs their last chance to prove their worth and rise through the ranks.

As the most common average Joe in House Orlock, the Gunner in comparatively the most normal looking ganger in Necromunda. Resembling your normal 80s bikie ganger than some steroid-huffing brute, creepy baldmen group, pyromaniac dumbfuck nutjobs, Crysis LARPers with space cancer or chem injecting glam rock singers.

Because they are footsoldiers, Gunners don't gain access to more expensive shit and are equipped with Combat Shotguns, Imperial Boltguns, Autoguns, Sawn-Off Shotguns, a selection of Frag Grenades, Krak Grenades and Smoke Grenades, whilst being protected by Imperial Mesh Armour segments.

Crunch[edit]

On Necromunda, Orlock Gunners are stat-wise, quite balanced with decent BS alongside a decent number of weapon choices. There is also a chance that one can be promoted to a Specialist at gang creation and, unlike other contemporary Specialists, can take heavy weapons. You still gotta pay for them, obviously, but in a late campaign situation, an extra heavy bolter will make you smile. Otherwise, the gunner’s weapon options mostly have stayed the same. Just remember that these fighters aren’t made for melee, so equip them accordingly.
