M8 Greyhound Cavalry Recon Patrol
The M8 Light Armored Car, (Called the Greyhound by the Brits, Official US sources never called it that.) was a reconnaissance and infantry support vehicle operated by the Allies, principaly the United States and Great Britain. In terms of on-road mobility there was nothing that could beat it, although it operated somewhat unreliable in off-road conditions and in forests where its large turn radius made it easy to get stuck between trees. However, it proved to be an effective support vehicle for advancing infantry and served as the basis of some Cold War IFVs.
