Prismatic Dragons are one of the lesser dragon races associated with Dungeons & Dragons. There have been at least two separate versios of the Prismatic Dragon; a Gem Dragon offshoot in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and an Epic Dragon offshoot in Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition.
AD&D[edit | edit source]
The Gem Dragon iteration of the Prismatic Dragon appeared in the adventure “Ailamere's Lair” in Dungeon Magazine #51, before being reprinted with artwork in the Monstrous Compendium Appendix Annual Volume 4.
3e[edit | edit source]
Unlike Force Dragons, Prismatic Dragons are outspoken, dramatic and enjoy the presence of humanoids, although they still prefer to dwell in quiet wilderness areas.
